When I think of the name Usagi, I recall that name from the SM anime. Anyways, I am very found of the pairing between Sango and Miroku out of all of the Inu-Yasha pairings. In the later manga chapters of course, where Sango finally calls him Miroku instead of Houshi-sama (do not look at the English version, because Sango does) and it is the only time she calls him by his name.

Sango and Miroku have always been a nice couple. I've noticed that in the Japanese version of the anime that she always calls him Hoshi-sama too. I suppose Viz thought it would be to confusing for Americans. xD

I'm more of a cannon paring kinda girl. When I first became obsessed with the inuyasha series, I watched it from begining to end all the way to the end of the manga JUST to figure out the cannon parings. and figure out I did. With the inuyahsa series they make the cannon parings almost christal clear.
theise are the cannon parings:
Inuyasha+Kagome Sesshomaru+Kagura Miroku+Sango Kouga+Ayame Kohaku+Rin Shippo+ (I actualy forgot the girl's name... Sayuri or something like that, I think. xD) Bankotsu+Jakotsu (xD this one makes me laugh...) Souta+Hitomi (I think that's her name... not sure)
there are also some others with the other minor characters, but I can't remember them right now.
the only two cannon parings I absolutely have to have in every fanfiction I read is InuKag and MiroSan. And that's only because their the clearest parings in the whole series.
MiroSan: well, they had... what was it? 3 kids? at the end of the series. It's kinda like, no duh.
InuKag: At the very end of the series, Kagome had the choice to return to the feudal era or not. She had spent... I think it was half a year away from the feudal era. While she was gone, it Miroku and Sango mention how lonely Inuyasha was without her. As soon as Kagome gets the chance, she comes running back to the feudal era where her and Rin both learn from Kaede.
why I can forgive the other parings:
SesshKagu: This is becasue there are little clues every here and there of this paring, but in kagura's last episode, when she dies, the last person she saw was Sesshomaru, who was so enraged when she died, he either got a new sword from his own power, or an insanely powerful new attack.
KouAya: Some people consider Ayame too good for Kouga, others consider Ayame too much of a stalker for Kouga, in either case, Ayame was in how many episodes? She wasn't around that long.
KohRin: Well, this is the only girl Kohaku really interacts with when he's not being controlled. I think that says something, besides Rin constantly thinks about him and wonders aloud about him. It's not shown all that much though.
Ship?: This is only becasue is says in the official book with all the info on all the characters (which I own). I wouldn't know if it wasn't for this though.
BanJak: It's Bankotsu and Jakotsu! Do I really have to say anything else? Have you seen how freindly they are? well, no. The only reason I put this here is becasue it's the only true yaoi paring in the show and my cousin would murder me if I didn't have one here... ((crazy yaoi fangirl... X.X))
SouHit: Well, Hitomi is the girl that Souta had a crush on and Inuyasha and Kagome got together. She was only in one episode though, I'm amazed I even remembered her name to be honset...
I'm a plot girl, which is why I think I'm so obsessive over the cannon parings. There are some parings I can stand if there's something to back it up, but if there is no proof of it, I will walk away and not look back.
wells, that's my input anyway...

I always wondered how a Naraku x Kikyo pairing would be like. Lol
