Shoju turned his to Sango as she thanked him and in return he nodded his head and said, "You are quite welcome Lady Sango. You might want to go to your lands and speak with the workers there, make sure everything is acceptable to you." Once he said that he turned and looked back to Inuyasha, who was now standing next to Sango. With Inuyasha in his sights his face was like that of stone as he once again spoke, "Our founder was commanded to stand in the shadows and guard against those threats that lurk in the darkness. Does that not describe the Naraku? And I am sure your wondering why I am giving you the shard rather than use it myself, well the answer is simple. I am putting a measure of faith in that you will win, not him. I find this preferable, as it stands now."
Shoju leaned forward looking upon the two of them with narrow eyes before he said, "There are prophecies in my clan, incomplete, but thus far accurate. And the verses we have refer to the War of Four Souls, and I believe that that war has come to pass, and by supporting you I have taken a side. Betray me and you will end like all traitors, your soul will be bound in the grove forever. That will be all I have to say to you today, Anko will show you out." Shoju leaned back in his throne and gave a wave of dismissal. Anko came up behind them to show them out of the labyrinthine palace.

Sango nodded her head to the Lord, and looked at Inuyasha, but her attention was driven back to the Human Lord. We understand. Come Inuyasha. Will you nowt accompany me to the Village? Sango asked, seeing Anko come out of hiding to show them the way out. SHe was dying to see her village and what this new Lord was doing to it.

As Shoju Bayushi tried to just turn off and dismiss them as if that were the end of it, then he had another thing coming. InuYasha still had some last words to throw in himself before he would be ready to leave this place. Glancing back at Sango for a moment when she spoke to him. "Hold on a second," he then said to her. "I'm not done here." He then turned those golden sunlit orbs away from Sango and back to Bayushi. There was a sense of caution in his eyes and he was still unsure of him.
"You honestly think that I'd lose to Naraku," he called back to Shoju. He didn't like having other doubt him and his abilities with him and his Tetsusaiga. That was the sort of vibe that he was getting off the guy and he didn't like it a bit. "Just keep in mind that I'm not doing this for you. I have my own reason to kill Naraku and serving you isn't one of them. So you might as well get that out of your head right now. I serve no one and i never will."
After that he figured that he'd address his last little betrayal comment a bit further, not ready to leave with Sango and Anko just yet. There was always to much for him to deal with. "I wouldn't be concerned with us betraying you either since there's no alliance here." If anything, InuYasha would have been more concerned about Bayushi betraying he and Sango. That or this new lord of the east guy going and getting in his way somehow. That was one of the last things that he would need to have happen at this time now.

At Inuyasha's outburst Lord Shoju could only smile as he listened to what the hanyou had to say before he added some of his own wisdom to the conversation, "No, Inuyasha, I don't think you'll lose, and that's why I am choosing to side you. If I thought you would lose that shard I just gave you would be long gone into hiding so that you neither side could ever find it. But I do have other business to attend to, so unless you want to hear about the rising price of rice and how that effects the Yasuki Jade trade from Osaka, because those merchants are going to be here soon for a thrilling four hour trade negotiation that will see the doors sealed so no one can leave." Bayushi Shoju leaned back in his seat after he said that, and somehow he just knew Inuyasha would likely be leaving soon, unless he was interested in that.

InuYasha scoffed at Bayushi's words. He still didn't and most likely never would totally trust this guy. Then again he didn't even know if they would ever meet again. Chances are that would be the truth. Oh well, it wasn't like these Bayushi mattered to him anyway. He had much better things to do like finding the other Shikon no Tama shards. Then there was always the fact that he had to find Kagome and the others again so that they could hunt down Naraku. Sometimes he even wondered how mad Kikyou was at him now.
"Keh. Whatever," the inu hanyou then said to the Lord of the North as he crossed his arms in front of his chest. "I've got no interest in your stupid dealings." Turning to look back at Anko and Sango again he tapped his foot impatiently now, sure that he had gotten his last word in. "Well are we going or not? It's not like we have all day." More or less, he was talking to Anko because he knew how much Sango wanted to see the demon slayer village as well. As long as nothing much happened, he'd be fine.

Sango listened to the males exchange of words and gave a low sigh. She really didn't want to serve under this new lord, but what were her options? Kill the Lord and have herslef be killed? Or tell him no? like he would listen! He'd just go ahead with his plans. Sango didn't want to get herslef or Inuyasha hurt, and let alone anger a Lord, and have him pissed at her, the choices were few and in the end, Sango. However unwilling to side with this human had done so. They had gained a jewel shard and knowledge that this Lord was on their side. That meant something right? Sango stole a quick glance at the lords way, she hadn't ment to glare, but just give off the emotion, that she had few choices and gave into the best route to take. Sure it was great Her Village was being brought back, but she would have liked to do it when Naraku was killed, gone. And everything was A Ok. And she had the time and rescourses to do so. Sango looked at Inuyasha, wanting to tell him all of these, but she closed her mouth.

The inu hanyou would never be able to know what Sango was ever thinking. Though his golden gaze had caught the look that she had sent Bayushi and he wondered what was on her mind. Sango glaring? Well that was something that he'd never expected her to do. Up until this point she had been friendly with the lord. Heck, she had even stopped InuYasha from trying to kill him. His white ears pricked forward when he thought that she was going to say something to him. Though no words came from the demon slayer's mouth. How odd.
There was a slight look of concern in his eyes. Though only Sango would be the only one able to read it. She knew him best out of everyone here. "Sango," was all that he could say. Though his voice wasn't aggravated or loud as it normally was. It was almost blunt. InuYasha would never be one to just go out and show full emotional concern for someone. He still had that tough guy act he had to keep up. Only a couple of times he'd allowed his friends to see the real soft side of him though rare.
