Ayame started laughing. Couple hundred years or so? This youkai sure was a peculiar thing. She hopped up on her feet and bounced over the sitting figure of Miku. No not at all, I'm only 15 not a couple hundred years or anything. I'm one of the youngest youkai in the area... as far as I know at least. Ayame watched the other female, wondering what was running through her mind. She did seem a bit odd, like she was from another time. But who was Ayame to judge anyone? She wasn't so she kept quite.

Miku's shock was clearly expressed on her features. Maybe demons aged up to a specific age and then they stayed looking young for a long time before they turned that couple of hundred years old. She blinked, and tried to figure it all out. "That's weird. I thought demons aged a lot and then they just looked young." She bit down on her lip when she realized what she'd just said and hoped Ayame wouldn't say anything about it. Hadn't she just said that she knew nothing about demons even though she was supposed to be one herself?

Ayame stopped bouncing around on her feet and looked directly at the other youkai. Saying something like that just screamed different. She did a handstand and began walking toward the other wolf youkai on her hands, dropping her feet upon coming quite close to the other femme. If your a demon, why do you not know this? You sound more like a human than a demon, we should know these things... Unless you were buried under the dirt or something and just lived there for 18 years. I dunno. Ayame tried lightly to make a joke, but something about this female was different. Would she keep the secret if it was revealed? She'd have to the fae was now her equal, her kind. Ayame made a gruff harumph noise waiting for an answer.

Now she had become very tense. Buried under the dirt. That was a good excuse, wasn't it? She wished that she could lie but knew very well that Ayame would have dug the truth out of her eventually so she finally decided to speak out about it. There was no way that she would have been able to hide all of this forever. "All right, this might sound crazy but you'll just have to bare with me," she muttered low under he breath, sure that the other wolf demon would still be able to hear and understand her.
"I come from a place called Tokyo... in the future." Oh nice, Ayame would surely believer her now. "Back there I was just a human girl in high school. Though I came here with Shadow, the new Lord of the East." She wouldn't say anything about Shadow not liking humans That'd be going to far in her eyes. "I tried to find some way to become a demon because I didn't want to lose him. So I made a pact with a wolf demon in her last moments. She gave me her power," Miku said, glancing up.

Ayame blinked, she was like that other female... only she didn't changer herself into a demon, or half demon for that matter. She stared warily at the new wolf youkai, there was something wrong with that whole plot. Ayame had to accept her now, its what she believed, an didn't like to be a hypocrite. You should have told me before all this. I have no reason not to accept you as a wolf youkai as am I. But really if that male really cared for you he would accept you for who you were. Ayame decided this was best to be kept between the two, but if she were to survive she'd have to learn wouldn't she?
She poked the other wolf youkai's leg, and retracted her finger quickly. I'm not going to say anything because that would be stupid. I'll still help you but I expect you to be honest with me, or well.. your on your own then kid.

Well it wasn't like she had ever really lied. No, she had just kept information to herself in the form of a secret. That wasn't a lie, right? Miku found that she wasn't able to decide on it. Yet now she was just glad that Ayame would take her for who she was. Even though she had somewhat cheated or whatever on becoming a wolf demon. Maybe things like this happened often between humans and demons. She wasn't sure but was just glad that now she could have a new friend in this world of survival.
Though when she had spoken about Shadow, Miku's ears fell back. She had done this for just one reason and that was for him. "He doesn't like humans though... He kills them so easily and in the blink of an eye." Of course when Shadow had asked her to be his at the prom, she had said yes even though she couldn't understand why she had herself. Maybe it was because females were generally attracted to other with power. Well that was besides the fact that she had been the most popular girl, and vise versa then.

Ayame shrugged, most demons hated humans. It was just how it went, except for those special few that preferred humans. Then you got inu-hanyous... Not accepted by their demon or human brethren. Thats... how life goes here. In case you hadn't noticed. Many demons don't like humans, though some do and keep it a secret they'd prefer them anyway. Almost always the offspring isn't accepted by human or demon but it could be... Ayame hopped into a tree, and sat upon a branch watching Miku. What would she do with this odd child?

She wondered if that was how Shadow felt. If he felt like he wasn't accepted by the rest of the world. She knew very well that he had no human but was a half demon. She remember growing up how Shadow and his sister had been treated so differently in the modern era and yet there were some humans that did accept them for who they were. "It must be hard to live like that," she finally said, not to sure who she may have been talking to at that point. "To live in a world where everyone hates you."

[blockqutoe]Ayame nodded a little, resting her arm on a knee she'd had placed in the air. She hung upside down from the branch was sitting on. I suppose you could say that. She dropped from the branch, landing on the ground lightly, and sitting below the tree looking quite thoughtful. Ayame watched Miku carefully, unable to fully trust her anymore. She had good reason to be too. She still smiled hesitantly anyway. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/size][/color]

She had never expect Ayame to put such trust in her in the first place. Though it wasn't like she had told her a lie or anything of that nature. No, she had just kept things to herself. When she thought about it for a second, she figured that maybe it just wasn't a wolf thing to do. Did they all have to trust each other for a pack to work together? "What's it like living in this world, Ayame?" Her words were almost lost in her own voice. She was being to thoughtful about everything again.

Ayame thought for a while. What was it like here? She couldn't answer that because she didn't know what the femme's world was like. Well... I suppose you don't have demons running around terrorizing villages? Tell me if I'm wrong though. Ayame moved closer again. Maybe she could trust her, the femme hadn't exactly lied. She shrugged, it felt that way but it was just her. Hm.. Well I suppose you, were just trying to protect yourself. I'll just assure you. I'm not like most demons, not hell bent on gaining total power. She smiled crouching closely to the other wolf demon.

She was a bit disappointed to not get a direct response to her question. Though Ayame had started up another interesting topic for the two of them to discuss together. Not once in her lifetime had she dreamed that she could be sitting in the feudal era as a wolf demon, talking to someone like Ayame. "No, not at all," he replied. "The world I come from has very few demons. Some of them are half demons like Shadow. Though sometimes we do have odd things occur in my world that can't be explained. Maybe those are demons doing that. I'm sure it's very possible," she replied.

Ayame tilted her head, strange happenings? She didn't know about traveling between worlds and that interested her. Huh, interesting.. Grandpa never told me I could travel between the feudal era and the future. Tell me whats your village like? Ayame practically bounced on Miku. She didn't understand her fascination, but it was a fascination nonetheless. [/blockquote

A village. Well that could be one way to put it if you wanted to call Tokyo that. "Well Tokyo isn't really called a village. It's called a city back where I live. We sort of have small communities like villages that we call neighborhoods. Though they're growing rare now. Tokyo has about 12,790,000 people living in it right now. We heave really tall buildings, great food, amazing malls, and the schools are okay," she then added on. Making her think about her own world saddened her a bit though she knew she could go back anytime.

Ayame tilted her head. Where did that come from? She giggled a little. You lot sure are very weird. City? What an odd name! Ayame smiled closing her eyes briefly. She sounded like a little kid at the moment and frowned.
