Ayame sat beside the quick moving river looking at the sky. Her red hair which was tied up in pigtails as it always was fell over her shoulders. She looked down into the water and stared at her reflection. Ayame sighed and stuck her hand in the water disrupting the picture the water made, it was cool. She was bored and was hoping for a little fun, maybe another demon she could get rid of or something. An unfamiliar scent reached her nose... Perfect timing. Her green orbs shot to the edges of her eyes, as if to look over her back. There was no mistaking that someone was there. Show yourself! Ayame's voice rang with power, she didn't like the idea of someone sneaking up on her undetected.

She'd still yet to understand this whole wolf demon thing. It was odd in her mind. She had just made a pact with a demon into turning her into a full wolf demon as long as she too had control over this body. Why had she done it? Well to her the answer was simple. She knew that her 'boyfriend' didn't really like humans in the first place. So she'd gone off and made herself a demon with the help. She didn't want his heart to be won over by another woman although he swore he loved her.
A sigh pasted her lips bit something then came to catch her attention. 'Show yourself!' was screamed. The wolf youkai hadn't even realized that there was another person in the area or that it had looked like she may have been spying. 'Oops,' she thought to herself. Her emerald green gaze shifted back down from to catch the sight of Ayame. Another wolf demon? She wasn't sure. Miku jumped back down from the branches an landed before the other demon. Her landing wasn't as graceful as it could have been but it was fine for now. "Sorry," she said to Ayame.

Ayame sniffed at the other female. She was another wolf demon, but she did not know this one. Odd.. when had she shown up? This was slightly confusing so she'd get to the bottom of it sooner or later. What is your name? You dont look like you belong to the southern pack... At least i haven't seen you running with them. Ayame's green orbs locked with the green orbs of Miku. Unaware of the females true origins. She fell back a little, knowing at least this wasn't a threat, a mere relation. Ayame let one of her smiles grace her face, it wasn't friendly but it was more of a... sneer if you will. It seemed to say.. ."who are you and what are you doing here?"

Miku raised a brow at Ayame at her question. Wolf packs. She knew nothing about them since she had gotten here. Shadow was a inu hanyou so he’d never said anything about wolves. She was just a naive girl from the future that had followed this hanyou here. “I’m afraid I’m not a part of any pack,” she finally said. Miku would have to learn these wolf pack ways if she were to somehow survive her. What was she doing in northern lands anyway? Oh right, this was where she had found the demon before it had died. A sigh escaped her lips. She didn’t know what to think of any of this so she’d start a conversation as if she were back at school again. “My name’s Miku. What about yours?” Now she really hoped that Ayame wasn’t important enough to where she should have know her name.

Ayame tilted her head sideways slightly. A wolf demon with no pack? How unusual. Then again.. well that wouldn't make sense. The female who called herself Miku smelled like a youkai. Her pigtailed hair fell at the angle her head tilted, the flower in her hair ruffled a little in the breeze. I'm surprised you don't belong to a pack. Oh.. I'm Ayame... the heiress of the northern wolf youkai tribe. So... if you don't belong to a pack. Where'd you come from? Ayame sniffed at Miku again just to make sure it was a full youkai, not a inu-hanyou. Her senses didn't deceive her, this female was a true youkai alright. Unless of course... no that was stupid. Ayame studied her without saying anything. She wanted an answer from Miku before speaking again.

She paused at Ayame's question. How was she supposed to answer that? She couldn't just say that she was some random human girl from the future. So it looked like she'd have to lie. Well, that was always fun, wasn't it? "I honestly don't remember," she said with hesitation in her voice. Yet, she'd never asked the wolf youkai where she'd come from before making the deal with her. That was something she should have done in the first place. Of course, wolves always traveled in packs she should have known that. "I like to be on my own, ya know?" A lone wolf. Great. That made her look like she was some crazy outcast or something of that sort now. 'Nice job Miku. Way to go,' she thought to herself sarcastically.

Ayame noted the hesitation but passed it off. A loner was unusual but not unheard of. She merely shrugged at the fellow wolf youkai's preference to isolation of sorts. Ayame reached down and grabbed a small stone, tossing it into the river. Loner eh? Thats unusual but not unheard of. Either way... what brings you to these parts? Ayame turned her head back and glanced at the female as if to invite her to come stand next to Ayame herself. She wasn't violent... she had no reason to be.. did she?

Miku was still a bit hesitant to just go and stand beside the other wolf youkai. Though she ventured forth a couple of steps, watching the river. "I came here for the Lord of the East, Lord Shadow," she replied. "I suppose you could say it was for adventure or something like that." Her tail flickered beside her. It was odd being with another wolf demon. Though maybe she would get used to it. She was sure that Shadow would want her to form an alliance with the wolves if he ever went to war. So why not go and try it now.

Ayame grinned and sat down again. Lord Darkness, so far she'd only heard stories of the Lord. This wolf youkai was hesitant... that wasn't too unusual considering she was a loner. Ayame offered her a more friendly smile. Should she offer to help her in the journey to the eastern lands? An offer would be nice but unneeded. Then again, she might be able to be assistance. Ayame giggled, at the turmoil running through her mind, replacing her hand in the river again. She watched the fish swim past without even glancing at her hand. I suppose I should offer help. But I might not be much.... Come sit here. The river feels nice. Ayame threw another stone across from her indicating where she would like the other wolf youkai to sit. It would be... friendly no?

Why hadn't she gotten used to demons yet? It seemed like now running into one was an everyday thing for her in this era. Yet, now she was even a demon herself. So she'd have to get used to them weather she liked it or not. The girl took her seat beside Ayame, wrapping her tail around her body so it wouldn't get in the way. Maybe she was afraid of demons because they had powers and she didn't. Back in the modern world that was something that she never had to worry about. People didn't try to kill you as often so there wasn't as big of a threat. "What sort of help," she asked Ayame curiously as she was slowly starting to warm up to her. Her emerald green eyes looked back at the river. It was so beautiful. This was why she loved it in this era.

Ayame smiled it had another meaning though, it wasn't friendly. It was somewhat deadly, she could help the fellow youkai so long as she didn't mind Ayame killing a few demons along the way. Well suppose I could accompany you. Help you find it and all... As long as you don't mind me killing a few worthless demons that is. She watched the female wrap her tail around her, that was pretty commonly seen for Ayame. Ayame did it quite often herself.

Help her kill a couple of demons? Her head titled to the side slightly as she looked back at the wolf youkai, pondering her offer. "I suppose you could as long as you don't go and kill me," she said slightly as a joke. She didn't know if wolves killed each other or not but figured they wouldn't hesitant if they needed to. She then smiled, looking back at the river again. "What are you doing out here yourself, Ayame?" It was only fair to ask, right? She'd stated her reason to this other girl already.

What was she doing here? Ayame didn't really know, she was just... here. She didn't have plans to do anything, just kind of relaxing. To be honest.. I don't really know why I'm here. I just kinda like the river I guess. Nah.. I won't kill you unless you really tick me off. Ayame was smiling, simply joking with the female. She giggled leaning back letting the sun warm her torso. Ayame had one hand in the river and the other on some warm stones, it was.. odd. Kinda like yin and yang.

Being some where without a purpose of being there. That was hard for Miku to understand. She couldn't get a hold of it. It was like some lose information idly slipping from her mind. "I suppose you could just be here," she then replied, still trying to think it over just then. "Well, hopefully I won't do anything to make you mad then!" She joked her last statement but there was a slight hint of fear in her voice. She didn't want to be killed here in this era. She wanted to die a peaceful way in the modern world.

Ayame noted the slight fear in the girl's voice. She was simply joking, Ayame wouldn't kill a fellow wolf youkai unless they tried harming her family. So far this fae hadn't done anything to urk her patience. She simply shrugged tossing aside the thoughts running through her mind. Ah no need to worry I'm only kidding. I dont kill fellow wolf youkai... unless of course they're a threat to my family. But you aren't so you have no need to worry. Ayame smiled simply, the water looked enticing, she wanted to jump right in. It would be so nice. It was cold but refreshing. She giggled and stood up, before leaping into the river headfirst. Ayame came up shortly after shaking her head off and grinning at Miku. Wanna come in? Ayame giggled again, enjoying herself.
