Powers/Abilities/Talents:

Neko-Hanyou
Kaori has large furry feline ears, so her hearing is much more enhanced than your average being. She also is gifted with enhanced speed, agility, stamina, eye-sight and smell. She has a long slender tail that provides her with incredible balancing abilities.

Demon Blood
In times of extreme pain, sadness, or anger, Kaori's demon side can take control. Her eyes turn blood red with a wild gleam, forcing her to lose all sense of right and wrong. Because of her demon blood, Kaori is often insulted and looked down upon by other Miko (and human's she is trying to help), in their eyes she is impure.

Spiritual Powers
Kaori has the power to break seals, barriers, spells, etc.

Sacred Arrow
A sacred arrow is one that can easily destroy demons and break barriers. This is done by imbuing each arrow with spiritual power. This arrow is also unique in the sense it glows with a bright purifying light.

Archery
The art of propelling arrows with the use of a bow. Thanks to years of practice, Kaori has become very skilled in Archery. She rarely misses a shot.

Healing
She has some healing powers and is very knowledgeable on how to treat wounds properly.

Purifying
The power to purify defiled objects, humans, and souls.

Energy Blast
The ability to gather all her spiritual energy within, causing her body to glow. She then sends said energy outward in all directions with blasting force. It's strong enough to send her enemy's flying. While this power proves very useful when confronted by a large group of Demon's, it takes a heavy toll on her body, thus is only used in very serious situations.

Attitude Check:
It's a cynical world, Kaori knows this all too well. Through the tragic years of her life has learned to take care of herself; thus she is very independent. She is weary of strangers and uncomfortable in crowded places; greatly preferring being out in nature.

Kaori is unpredictable and a free spirit. Some people call her stubborn and they are absolutely correct. She almost always will refuse help, never wanting to be viewed as weak. Kaori is constantly battling with being part human and demon. It's not easy being a Miko and a Hanyou.

She is quite petite and fragile looking, just don’t let it fool you. She is strong willed and never willing to go down without a fight. Kaori has a very kind heart, but she doesn't let it show to just anyone. Once her trust is earned, she is fiercely loyal. She also has a goofy and playful side that comes out when she feels comfortable in her environment.

The Neko-Hanyou Miko is greatly in tune with nature and the spiritual world. She also has a great sense of empathy. You'd think this would help make her more social, but that is not the case. Due to the years and years she spent under a spell that sent her into a suspended animation, Kaori has a hard time relating and communicating with others.

Return to the Past:
Kaori grew up in a small village in the Northern Lands. Being the only Hanyou in the village, she was constantly teased and treated like an outcast. Kaori never had the luxury of meeting her parents. After her mother became pregnant with her, Kaori's Neko-Youkai father was tragically killed trying to protect his lover from a unusually strong and nasty demon. If that wasn't enough, Kaori's mother died shortly after giving birth, leaving her under the protection of the village Priestess.

The old Priestess saw the wonderful light in Kaori's soul and soon realized it was her destiny to become a Priestess. This was the start of a long journey, thankfully she was in very capable hands. At the age of 18 Kaori was finally receiving the respect and acknowledgment from the villagers like she deserved. By this time she was becoming well known across the Northern Lands as one of the most powerful Miko's of her time. Sadly, that didn't last long.

Soon a disgruntled sorcerer of dark magic that Kaori had previously beaten in battle decided he needed revenge. With the help of a group of powerful demons he was able to overpower the Neko-Hanyou and take her back to his secret location that was hidden behind a strong barrier. There was just one problem that the dark sorcerer wasn't expecting. After his months of stalking the Miko, he had developed bizarre feelings of both hatred and love for her.

Finding himself unable to kill Kaori, the sorcerer settled upon placing her under a deep spell that would send her into suspended animation. It's unknown how long she was left in her forced coma like state, but once she gained enough spiritual power she was able to break the spell. Upon awakening, Kaori found herself chained to the wall by a thick metal collar around her neck in a dark dungeon undergound. Even though she still looked 18, the Neko-Hanyou Miko could sense a great amount of time had passed since she was last awake.

For days Kaori sat chained to the wall in that dark dungeon. Most of her time was spent screaming at the top of her lungs for help while trying not to think of the hunger, thirst, and loneliness. Finally someone who just happened to be wandering by at the right moment heard her cries for help, the man also just so happened to be a monk. He was able to break the barrier and gain access to the dungeon where he found Kaori. He quickly discovered that the large metal collar around her neck was not going to be coming off anytime soon. It was protected by a powerful spell. He did however find a weak spot a few chain links down and was able to separate it from the rest of the chain still attached to the wall.

Kaori was finally free to live her life again.
