Simon had heard the water long before his keen eyes set on the flowing crystal liquid. He didn't, however, expect the sight to be so breathtakingly beautiful. He was used to beauty; he adored it. After traveling to the Modern Era, Sai had grown to thrive off of nature. It was almost like a drug to him. That would explain why he was currently knee deep in the river, staring at the bottom as if in a trance.
Water shouldn't be so pretty. Not at all. Water wasn't what an angel embodied. Little ones were angels, pure, clear. Not water. But it was so pretty. He let his hand sink into the water, his amethyst eyes narrowed in a bit of inner turmoil as he watched the crystalline life force wash his hand of all things dirty and tainted.
"This isn't how it should be," he whispered bitterly.
