This world is different from the world you know. Earth. Yeah, here, that’s a story, a fable, a myth. A place where there isn’t creatures of the night ready to kill you, just because they can. Vampires. Werewolves. Yeah, they’re very real and very dangerous. People “disappear” mysteriously, never to be seen again. Humans shrug it off as a serial killer or a murderer, but they don’t know the truth. The vampires and werewolves are getting cockier. They’re starting to take a little more, because who’s going to stop them? The humans? Yeah, as if they could do anything. Now, they’re here in Ashshire, and no one knows about them.

Well, only those extremely lucky to have gotten away from one of them – which are very rare – know about them. Well, not just them, I suppose. The Hunters know of these creatures as well. They are a covert group of people that look like you or me. They’re humans, usually, but there is the occasional werewolf or vampire that converts to their cause. Not all vampires and werewolves are bad, but many have let the power they have go to their heads. There are the rogue vampires, the ones who have gone mad from the blood lust. Then there’s the ones that just don’t care about the human population, taking whatever they want from whatever human they wish. Werewolves – they’re just the same, except they usually are just doing it for the kill.

But, what does any of this have to do with Ashshire, a town in the middle of the woods? A group of vampires, calling themselves the Sangue, has moved to our town. They are a relatively large coven, and they had been forced from their old home by an even larger clan. Sangue came to settle in Ashshire, a relatively large town, because it was a place that no one else had claimed yet. Or, at least, that’s what they thought. It wasn’t until they ran into the Nox Noctis, the werewolf clan, that things really got heated up. Werewolves and vampires have been long time enemies, with centuries of bad blood lay between them. The two clans are staking claims over this town, neither ready to compromise. Blood has long been since drawn between the two clans, and they are ready to go to war with each other over this town. When the body counts began to rise, it made the Hunters notice, and drew them like flies to honey.

They arrived and poked around, searching for any telltale evidence that there was supernatural beings around. The Hunters checked the woods, alleyways, everywhere, and they found a body, deep in the woods, drained of all blood. This was all the proof they needed to begin their Hunt. They made a base in an empty building in the town and made it defensible, their sanctuary in this town. The Hunters were in business. They began patrolling at night, searching for their enemies. It didn’t take long to find them, because a human wandering out late was easy prey. What a surprise they got when the human could fight back, with weapons that actually hurt. Word got around in the clan circles that there was another enemy around, one of humans. They all had enemies now, each of them as dangerous as the first.

Who will win this deadly war? Will the vampires reign supreme over the town, wiping them out slowly, one draining at a time? Or will it be the werewolves, destroying the people like a forest fire? Or will, miraculously, the Hunters destroy the enemy, saving this town as they had others? Only time will tell on this Bloody Night.
