Kyr could correct him, but decided it was a wasted effort. She had business here, but now she was done, and would probably find something better to do. She began to wonder herself why people hired her to do anything other than guard or kill. Perhaps she needed to refuse a few minor jobs, like the one that had brought her here. But why pass up the easy reward?
And of course she knew this was place for humans. That was why she was curious and wanted to explore. Humans were a peculiarity to her.
"I can plainly tell," Kyr replied nonchalantly to his statement, "And yet, I don't care. I'll go where I want."

He was furious! She just acted so carefree about everything and he couldn't understand it. How in the hell could she do that.
Though the one that that really pissed him off was that he couldn't do anything about Kyr being here. It was insane. Putting people at risk wasn't just his sort of thing. He was here to save lives, not destroy them. What a drag. The itch to just punch her in the face and maybe send her flying though the walls wouldn't go away though.
Growing lowly under his breath, he spoke.
"Whatever," he said uneasily. "Just don't start any shit in here or I'll take your head."

Was that a threat she heard? There he goes again, attempting to intimidate her. An impossible feat. She was sure she would probably be able to hand him his ass if they fought right there and now, but she did not feel like fighting. No one was paying her, and a direct challenge had not yet been issued. There was no motivation for it.
She could still hear the annoyance in his voice. Perhaps it was time to leave. Not that she took his threat seriously, she really could care less. She would probably just get lost in the inn, further annoying the hanyou, which would not be that bad, just more entertainment for her.
Instead, Kyr tilted her head slightly to the side. She stayed silent for a moment before completely changing the subject from her activities within this human infested inn to a(n almost friendly) introduction, "My name is Kyr, but I am called Chaos by most. I have no quarrel with you," she said in her bored tone of voice.

His expression suddenly went blank when she spoke to him with an introduction. He was now more confused than ever, and then he looked at her like she was insane. Why had she just introduced herself? Not that he cared about her name or anything. It was just odd, but today everything about her seemed odd to him. He just wasn't sure what to make of it,
Humans passed by here and there, and he realized that maybe he was drawing more attention to the both of them. Not that the people weren't ignoring them. You never knew if that was that one person that just stayed there and watched from the corner of their eye. Why? They seemed to have had nothing better to do with their time.
Finally, he relaxed, more than he would have liked to just because he didn't want to make a scene out here. He looked Kyr over, trying to remember what she looked like so he would know who she was if she had ever tried anything around him. Not that her scent wouldn't give her away. He was sure that he would be able to pick it up anywhere.
"Revlis," he mumbled.

Kyr nodded, almost thoughtfully.
She could sense some of the hanyou's hostility turn to confusion. Emotions were such an oddity. Almost as add as human behaviors. She always had difficulty expressing anything. And she could rarely ever feign such emotions, either. Her seemingly constant emotionless mask was always there because she just did not understand and she did not know how to express her happiness, sadness, anger, or anything else. She just had no need for these meaningless things. It amused her, though, to observe others' behavior.
"So, Revlis, do you know of anyone in need of a hired hand?" she asked. "If you don't, I'll gladly leave."

He didn't like the feeling of talking to someone when he couldn't see their eyes. He'd always been taught that it was disrespectful. Not like it wasn't also disrespectful to threaten people or youkai on a daily basis the way he did. That was different though, right? He wanted to believe that somehow.
Did he know of anyone? There were always people in the village that did missions for others. He wasn't sure if he should tell her something like that though. She didn't need to be in his village although they turned down so many quests everyday from the lack of ninja.
"I'm sure you could deliver love letters for people in this inn," he spoke somewhat relaxed now. "This is the hot springs you know."
Why had he just said that? Why had he told this demon that she could be here in the inn with him around? Was he going insane? Oh god, he needed some serious help and soon. If Zareuk or Aizik had ever heard of him saying such a thing, they would have taken his head now.

"That doesn't sound very profitable," Kyr said. It was not that she was greedy. She had no love for money at all. It was just that she needed motivation, which she found in coin. As long as she got something in return for whatever job she was hired to do, she would not complain. But this activity seemed mundane and without good enough compensation. And humans tended to pay less, unless they were high-ranking officials in need of a guard. She guessed that no high-ranking official would want to stay at a public hot spring. They would have their own private one on their estate, or something.
She shrugged, "What about you? Need help with anything?" she offered, not caring at all that they had been arguing only a few moments before.

Did he need help with something? What was this chick smoking? He wished she could have seen the blank expression on his face as he barely processed the question. He was a shinobi and very well capable to take care of his own tasks and the tasks that other asked of him themselves. He shook his head maybe this girl just really wanted money or something. To be honest, he really won't be to surprised if that were the case.
"No, he replied to her. "What are you anyway?"

"What am I?"
What an odd question to ask her. She could tell that he had a sensitive nose to tell him what she was. And she had all but outright told him that she was a mercenary. Could he not piece it together, himself? Was it a joke? She did not have a sense of humor, so she really could not tell.
"What do you think I am? Is it not obvious?" she asked him as she ran her fingers through her yellow hair, beginning to lose interest. There was nothing here for her. It was not worth her time to stay. She would leave, it was decided, and wander around until someone new would hire her, hopefully someone who wanted her to kill someone else. But, first, she would finish her interesting conversation with this hanyou, of course, it would be rude to depart in the middle and leave it unfinished.

"Oh no, it's quite obvious," he answered. "I just don't understand why someone like you would work for humans."
How was he all of a sudden having a normal conversation with this woman? He didn't understand it? Had she cast some spell on him or something? He wasn't sure and couldn't bring himself to find a good enough answer for him to approve of. It had his mind spinning. How annoying.
He studied her, trying to wonder what her face really looked like. What was she hiding? Did she just like being blindfolded? He could see how it could help with training or something like that. Though what training would she have been doing if she was just here, running errands for humans and what not. It was confusing, very confusing. Then again, he could have just been stupid.
"What's up with it," he questioned her.

Why did she work for humans... That was a good question. Not even she, herself, knew the answer. She never cared who her employers were, and probably never would. They never minded either. Sure, they were afraid and a bit jumpy at first, but once they figured out that money or items would buy them immunity to her powers, they would relax... unless someone else gave her something worth more - then they were in trouble. Her skills were up for bid, going to the highest bidder.
"Do I need a reason? I don't care who or what they are. As long as the job is interesting and I get compensation, then it doesn't matter," Kyr said matter-of-factly with a light shrug.

He figured that maybe she had some sort of point. When he thought about it, they were sort of a like. They were killing, fighting, protecting, and pretty much anything for anyone. He shook his head slightly to excuse the thought, and looked at Kyr.
"What about that blindfold," he questioned.
He still wondered about just as he did about everything else. Wasn't it good for him to think? Made his brain power better? Well if it did he needed it. Maybe he thought to much. Oh well, He pricked his ears forward to listen to what Kyr may have to say.

"Hmm? This?" Kyr reached up to touch the cloth covering her eyes. This guy seemed a bit too curious about her. But, it did not matter, just like everything else did not matter.
She was not exactly sure as to how to answer. Should she tell him what she was capable of, that she could send anyone into spasmodic fits of pain, that she could kill with just a look?
"It's more protection than anything," Kyr explained, vaguely, of course. If she took her blindfold off, there was always the constant temptation to use the Curse, that had been passed through her Clan, on other people, just to make things more interesting. The blindfold deterred that temptation. She even forgot it was there, so used to living in darkness - until she got curious enough to want to actually see instead of sense her surroundings, that is.

Revlis really should have stopped asking questions a long time ago. After all, curiosity killed the cat. Well, he wasn't a cat but a dog though the saying still fit in some odd way. He'd almost been killed many times from asking to many questions. He just couldn't help it though. He was so nosey and had to know everything about everyone, just because. There was no other reason than that.
"Protection," he questioned Kyr.
Protection from what? The sun? Maybe she was a vampire secretly? No, he would have been able to smell that on her, in her blood. Speaking of smell, why wasn't he disgusted by her smell anymore? How could he just stand there now and talk to her. So many questions with no answers to him. That really bothered him. There had to be an answer for everything. Yes, that's what he believed.

"Protection," Kyr repeated. "Not for me. For you, and everyone else." That was just about all the information she was going to reveal. If this hanyou wanted to know more, he would have to find out on his own... or the hard way. She dropped her hand away from her blindfold so she would not decide to pull it off, crossing her arms against her chest, which was a slight bit uncomfortable, seeing as she hid her knives in her sleeves.
"Anything else you want to know?" she asked, still sounding bored. She did not mind these questions. It gave her something to do before she left the inn to wander in boredom, once again. She had plenty of patience and time to spare. Not like she was going to die of old age, being a youkai and all, unlike the humans and their limited life spans.
