Powers/Abilities/Talents:
Purification Powers: this power allows Kagome to purify anything she touches. By gathering large amounts of concentrated energy in her right palm, she can direct it at an opponent.
Sacred Arrow: Kagome can fuse her power into her arrows. This allows the arrows to penetrate demonic forces and purify objects.
Jewel Detecting: this allows Kagome to sense the exact location of the Shikon Jewel shards. Kikyo had this ability as well.
Spiritual Powers: Kagome can pass through barriers, spells, and illusions. Kagome can also sense evil auras and be unaffected by them.
Kyudo: Kagome uses a basic bow as a weapon. If she infuses her power into the bow, she can reflect an enemy's attack. Her bow has the power to strike evil spirits or the user's intended target bypassing others, if the opponent should happen to be using a hostage as a shield, the arrow will bypass the hostage and hit the enemy instead.
Sacred Backlash Wave: This attack is a combination of InuYasha's Backlash Wave and Kagome's Sacred Arrow. It consists of Kagome firing one of her Sacred Arrows into the center of InuYasha's Backlash Wave, creating a very powerful attack.
Beads of Subjugation: When Kagome says “sit” or “sit boy”, Inuyasha will be momentarily flung to the ground thanks to the beads he wears around his neck, which was given to Kagome by Kaede. Kagome managed to put them on Inuyasha so she could control him by yelling “sit”.
Time Travel: Not so much a skill, but Kagome is able to jump into the Bone Eaters Well, and travel back in time to Feudal Japan, and back to her own modern day era.
Attitude Check:
Kagome can be a difficult girl, though mostly only when it comes to Inuyasha. Normally kind and gentle, Kagome can become irritated easily and tends to lash out at Inuyasha when he provokes her by telling him to “sit”. Her feelings for him are complicated, although its obvious as the two spend more time together, her feelings for him develop and she begins to fall in love with him. Kagome has a kind heart, and is always looking out for her friends. She treats Shippo much like another, much younger brother, or even a sort of child, and tells Inuyasha to sit constantly when he bullies Shippo. Kagome also seems to be very close friends with Sango, and has on occasion been heard saying that Sango is her best friend, and she’ll do what she can to help her.
Mirror:
Kagome has black hair that falls to her shoulder blades. Her eyes are a deep, dark chocolate brown, and are large and almost always smiling. Despite going back to the Feudal Era, Kagome still wears her school uniform, which tends to get bloody and dirty with all the fights with demons her and the group gets into. In the Feudal era, Kagome can be seen carrying around her bow and quiver of arrows. However in modern day Tokyo, she is most likely seen carrying around a huge backpack stuffed full of school books because she’s always missing classes, thanks to helping Inuyasha and the group reclaim the Shikon Jewel shards.
Return to the Past:
Kagome is a Miko, a Priestess of her family’s shrine in Modern Day Tokyo. When she was fifteen, she went into the Shrine that housed the Bone Eaters Well to find her cat who had gone missing. Just as she was about to leave with her cat, the lid of the well behind her was smashed open by a centipede demon, Mistress Centipede, and she grabbed Kagome and dragged her into the well. As she was dragged down, the once dead Mistress Centipede begins to come back to life thanks to the Shikon Jewel Kagome holds inside herself, but isn’t aware of it. Kagome panicked, and in her panic a strange purple light forms out of her hands and blasts the demon, and was freed. However, Kagome was thrown five hundred years into the past. As she tries to find out what happened, and where she is, Kagome stumbles upon a boy with long, silver-white hair pinned to a tree by an arrow and bound by vines from the tree itself.
The people of the nearby village attack Kagome as she looks up at the boy pinned to the tree, afraid she is some sort of shape-shifting demon until Kaede realizes that Kagome looks almost identical to her long-dead sister, Kikyo. As they’re talking, the village is attacked by Mistress Centipede again, and, wounded, Kagome goes and frees Inuyasha. Though he is hostile towards Kagome because of her appearance that reminds him so much of Kikyo, he helps her by killing the demon. Kaede places the Beads of Subjugation onto Inuyasha, and Kagome uses the word “sit” to bind them to him, so only her voice can cause him to all but face plant into the ground when she yells “sit”.
Not long after regaining the Shikon Jewel that Mistress Centipede stole from Kagome, a Crow demon steals it from her. In an attempt to get it back, Kagome uses the foot of the crow that had been cut off and fired an arrow. However, she miscalculated and the arrow intended to kill the Crow Youkai also destroyed the Shikon Jewel, and sent its shards to spread all over Feudal Japan. To get it back, Kagome and Inuyasha team up so they can restore the Shikon Jewel to its former self. Along the way, they meet up with Shippo, Miroku, and Sango and Kilala, and quickly form a group to fight Naraku and get the Shikon Jewel back.
