The wolf lifted his nose, eyes closed to enhance his sense of smell as he sniffed at the air in delicate little whiffs. Her scent was faint, but it was certainly there. How often had Kagome visited this forest? Kouga scowled when he also picked up the stench of that mangy mutt, Inuyasha. How long had it been since the wolf demon had seen any of his old...friends?
Considering that last thought, the young leader allowed his legs to move again. He sauntered through the foliage quietly, ears alert, but mind wandering. Kouga assumed that he would not see Kagome here this day. He knew very well that herself and her ragtag team were probably off on some wild adventure hunting down that villainous Naraku.
A look of displeasure crossed Kouga's features; his lips pressed tightly together at the thought of that monster and what he had done to notch a deep scar into the wolf's heart. Kouga's tail began to prickle angrily at the thought of his slain tribesmen, and as much as he tried to suppress it, sorrow would still manage to surface in his sky blue eyes.
Shaking his head with a disgruntled snarl, Kouga clenched his fists, mentally reminding himself to toughen up. He would not tolerate weak emotions such as sadness and remorse!
Deciding that this forest possessed some sort of poison the triggered painful memories, the brash wolf demon turned on his heel to depart, claws and fangs aching for a kill to relieve his stress.

Well if one thing were true, it was that she carried the scent of an inu hanyou. Of course she was one as well. The funny thing was that her parents weren't human nor demon. They were inu hanyou themselves. She'd heard stories of an InuYasha growing up. That was why she had come to this forest. Well besides the fact that she needed a break from the modern era, the shinobi, her brother, Oriel, Maikeru, and everything else. Though, she wouldn't have minded if Shuichi Minamino was with her. She was to attached to him now.
As she wandered on, she caught the scent of something else. A wolf? Maybe Miku? No the aura was to different. Now she could tell that the scent was to different from hers as well. Even though Miku had been turned into a wolf demon even if just once human, Raveik knew her scent to well. 'Interesting,' she thought to herself. A fanged smile crossed her features. That tail and ears of hers flickered up and now she had a herself hooked on someone new to investigate. She'd find wolf demon and figure out who he was. No harm.
Raveik got up from the position that she had been resting in. She blinked when she noticed what looked like a tornado fly by her. 'That must be it.' It carried the wolf's scent in it. She'd be to slow running. He was very fast indeed. So she'd take to the trees. The inu hanyou jumped back up into a near by branch. Withe ease she jumped from branch to branch to move her pale figure quicker though the forest. "Oh wolfie," she called back out, wondering if he would even hear her. Maybe he'd just ignore.
[[OOC: I'm assuming he's running as fast as he normally does to cause a tornado. xD]]

Keeping his mental activity in check, Kouga tried to concentrate on running. His swift moving legs felt no fatigue, nor did his breath become labored. If anything, a calm fell over the wolf demon when he was running. In this moment he tried to force his mind from Kagome, Inuyasha, and Naraku. The male growled, trying hard not to let such troublesome thoughts plague him.
"Oh wolfie."
Instantly, Kouga skidded to a stop. His method of slowing down created an obnoxious dust cloud that took a few moments to clear. The wolf's ears were alert, and his blue orbs were scanning the trees and bushes, searching for the vessel of the unfamiliar voice.
"Who's there!?" he called in a demanding tone, brows furrowed. "I don't like playin' games, so just show yourself."
Kouga's fingers on his right hand twitched, reminding the demon of his prized device that could rip an enemy apart if he needed to defend himself.
Any previous thoughts or concerns were quickly discarded.

Well at least he'd finally stopped! What a relief! She wasn't to sure how long she would have been able to follow him if he kept up that crazy running of his. She watched with those teal orbs as the cloud of dust vanished. That was when she was finally able to get a look at his face for once and see who he was. Well it was now clear to her that she'd never met him before. Maybe a new friend for her? She wasn't to sure yet just based off of his demanding words.
Jumping back down from the trees, she landed only a couple of feet away from him and kept her smile. "I wasn't hiding silly. You just run to fast for you own good," she corrected him. "My name's Raveik but Rave is fine!" Her voice held a rather cheerful tone to it. She'd picked up these traits from her 'uncle' Maikeru. Looking back into his light blue eyes, she titled her head to the side like a dog would and blinked. "Your name? It's only fair 'cause I told you mine." She then waited on his answer.

Dog. That was the first scent that Kouga noticed from this female, and he scruntched up his nose, now wondering if it was her scent he was smelling and not that mutt's. Had his nose fooled him?
Lifting his chin in response to the stranger's comment about his running, Kouga contiued to eye this female, studying her features carefully. He hadn't seen this girl around before.
"My name's Raveik but Rave is fine!"
Strange name. Kouga had definitely never seen her, nor heard of her. Her next words caused the wolf demon to hesitate. Why should he tell her his name? He could care less about being fair.
"Why were you following me?" Kouga questioned, frowning.

Her ears pinned back against her skull the moment that he started spitting the question out at her. So he really wasn't the friendly type, was he? She glanced back up at him, trying to understand him. From what she had gathered so far, he was like her brother Shadow. Not one to go around and try to make friends the way she did. No worries though. She wouldn't allow such a foolish thing to get in her way. Raveik then took a few steps forward, making sure that she moved closer, maybe even pushing her own luck.
"Why am I following you," she questioned him. "Well that's something for me to know, isn't it? It wouldn't be fair at all if I told you." Her voice held that same cheerful tone again. If he wanted to be rude with her, she'd respond back in the same way almost. Raveik had no problem with it. Back in the modern era she had taken classes in acting and mastered at the top of her class. "Or maybe..." She paused for a moment, looking him straight in the eyes. "Maybe it's you following me, eh?"

Kouga grunted sneeringly at Raveik's response, making no move as she dared to step closer to him. Her attitude so far impressed the wolf, and he was now growing curious about just how far she would continue to press his patientce...a patientce that usually grew thin hastily.
"Maybe it's you following me, eh?"
A quizzical expression quickly became plastered to Kouga's visage; with a defensive snarl he spat "Don't be stupid." The wolf casually turned away, his raven hair swaying with his gentle movements. "I don't have time for this," he muttered. "Annoying girl."

Stupid? No, she wasn't being stupid. He was. She was just having fun and trying to make friends with him was all. The inu hanyou blinked when he turned away from her and shifted around to the side so that she was in front of him this time. "Maybe you should see a therapist or enter anger management classes, hm?" Her tail flickered behind her and those canine ears shot up. "I like you. You're very funny, wolfie!" She wouldn't stop calling him that until she got a name. Then again, she may never stop the nicknames.

"A what?" Kouga quirked one dark eyebrow, glaring down at Raveik. A moment later, though, he shook his head, deciding that he didn't want any response. Folding his muscular arms loosely over his armored chest, the wolf demon added, "Now run along...and stop calling me that!"
Wolfie? That just sounded silly! 'A bit degrading, too,' Kouga thought to himself, still staring icily at the persistent female.

Oh right, she wasn't back in the modern world anymore. This was the feudal era so of course he wouldn't know what that way. Maybe she had been spending to much time with Shuichi. He was the only demon that she knew of that could time travel. His glares would do nothing to phase her though. "Well maybe if you would tell me your name then I wouldn't have to call you wolfie," she replied back to him. He was very entertaining in her eyes. "Name, name, name," she started chanting while dancing in circles around him. "Wolfie, wolfie, wolfie."

"Uh..." Kouga watched the female circle him and continue to call him that demeaning name. Eventually, the wolf demon snarled, roughly planting his hands to his hips and shouting "Kouga! My name is Kouga! Now stop with the name callin', will ya? It's making me angry." That last bit was added with a deep, threatening growl as the male tried to catch Raveik's eyes again.
She certainly was something else. Was she not afraid that he could try to hurt her in an instant? Though, as annoying as he thought she was, Kouga could not bring himself to harm her. In the wolf's opinion, he felt that Raveik should be thankful for his merciful attitude this day.

Kouga. So that was his name. She stopped in front of him this time, her tail wagging behind her. "You're just now getting angry," she asked, somewhat mocking him. "Kouga-kun, you've been angry from the very beginning." It was true in her eyes. Since the first time that she had called him 'wolfie' he'd been upset with her. So how could he just be getting angry now? Maybe Raveik would never know but it was fun to try and think of a solution to the problem at hand. Those teal orbs then locked with his eyes.
"Now see, it wasn't that hard to tell me your name, was it. Kouga wolfie?" Of course she didn't think that she was just calling him 'wolfie' directly now. She'd added his name in there as well to make a whole new nickname for him. "Maybe you like Kogy more?" Raveik didn't plan on stopping any time soon. She wasn't insulting him in her own eyes. She was just playing around and having fun with him was all. If he didn't like it well then he would just have to deal with it all.

Kouga's annoyance and growling both continued to rise as Raveik pointed out the obvious about the wolf's anger. He then lifted his chin slightly; a harsh "bah!" escaped from his lips. Once the name calling commenced again, though, he was back in his previous state of irritation.
Wolfie? Kogy? Ridiculous!
"Perhaps you didn't hear me clear enough the first time, girl," he started, pushing the words between gritted fangs. "My. Name. Is. KOUGA!" His icy eyes continued to hold aggravation, but the male made no move to emphasize the feeling of smacking the female over the head. He hoped that stating his name arduously and loudly would cease Raveik from picking on him.

Picking on him? Oh no that would have been the last thing that she would ever do to such a wolf youkai like Kouga. She was just having fun with him in one of the only way that she knew possible. It wasn't her fault that he wasn't outgoing and carefree the way that she was. She could just get along with people better than he could. Maybe it was because she wasn't a wolf and was just a half demon. The inu hanyou didn't know but she wouldn't take such nonsense from him now.
Raveik's ears lowered, pinning to her skull as she looked back at Kouga, the pain evident in her teal gaze. As she stood there, he tail lowered. When she felt the tears form in her eyes, she quickly turned away from him before he could see. The smell of the salt would have easily been picked up by the canine nose. She buried her face in the palms of her hands. It was all believable because she had been the best in her acting class back in the modern era. Though of course, demons could act just as well.
