It almost seemed as as the wind whistled to him that it tried to tell him a story. A story of a time when there was a war that lead to the death of many just to result in peace. Why a war? Why not just peace in the first place? The wind continued to scream his ears and he could make no sense of it. This wasn't true bliss. This was just a shadow covering up what had once been left behind. Revlis could tell because he'd faced something like it before just on his very own.
Red violet orbs ventured over the lake as black, purple, and red bangs lashed about at his face. He'd take to the trees, watching the lake as it tried to share this very same story with him. Maybe the wish were the warriors that struggled to survive. Yet, the birds that came down and caught them from the air were the enemy. Yet here it was, this surface of the lake that if not broken could offer peace to both the fish and the bird. The bird could go and settle scores else where why the fish could live.
He couldn't count the number of times that he had seen this. Although this evening it seemed different. Lately he'd just come here so that he could think about this story and ponder if it would ever end. No, of course it wouldn't. It was just like him. This war that was fought within. He could either be a human or a demon. Yet he borderlined within his blood trying to make peace between the two by being a hanyou. It would never meet an acceptance, not even by the world of those that lived around him
Always there would be people to shun him for what he was. They never took a look to see the great shinobi that he had become. They never looked to see that he wasn't like the rest of them and could have been valuable in their lives. This was the curse that he was left with. Though all at the same time to him it was a gift. Hanyou were the ones that were dangerous and a threat to both parties of the world around them. He took this to his advantage most of the time. It only helped.

The soft sound of treading feet was barely audible over the noise of life surrounding Mikomi Lake. Tiny insects sang their hearts out in search of mates while the cold wind that played with the leaves on the tall trees hummed an eerie tone. As the Hanyou Miko slowly made her way down the trail leading to the lake, her mind became preoccupied with pestering thoughts.
Why was the world so cold to those born different? It was a question she found herself asking on many occasions, but the answer never seemed to rise. Kaori was fed up with being treated like something you scrap off the bottom of your shoe. You’d assume that because she’s a Miko, someone who has devoted her life to light and purity, that she would be spared such racism. However, like most of her kind, she still was shunned by both Human’s and Demon’s.
With a quick shake of her head, she pushed everything to the back of her mind. Life was too short and precious to waste it with such thoughts. Kaori shifted her attention towards the horizon in the distance. The sun was starting set, painting a beautiful picture in the sky. This was concerning to the Priestess. Night meant more demon activity, but thankfully she was always prepared.
Glancing down, her deep blue eyes stared at the bow in her pale hand, as if checking to make sure it was indeed still there. She had a quiver full of arrows on her back for any possible threats; this knowledge helped her to relax somewhat. Once she was at the waters edge, Kaori came to a stop in front of the lake. She gazed down at her reflection rippling on the surface below. The Neko-Hanyou looked like your average Miko, she wore the traditional clothing this day.
Just then her large Neko ears twitched at a sound off the distance; a painful reminder of what she truly was. Her pale hand clenched the bow tightly as she quickly turned her back to her own reflection with an aggravated sigh. ‘My soul is not damned.’ Kaori reassured herself before picking up the scent of someone close by. “Who’s there?” She spoke out in a firm voice while swiftly placing an arrow in her bow. Whoever it was, they were not human, the Neko-Hanyou could tell by their smell and their aura. She hoped it wasn’t someone looking for a fight, for she was in no mood to show mercy.

Out of no where it seemed like something had disturbed his train of thought. How could he allow himself to get so caught up in his own thoughts that he had missed it? This scent was to close for his own liking right now. The feeling of the aura that he got from it was to pure. His ears flashed back in annoyance. It'd taken him to long to sense it. Yet now he knew that the creature was close. He sniffed the air again, taking in even more of these fragrance. Human and youkai. Yet fused in one just like his own blood was.
It was now clear to him that he knew what type of creature this way. A hanyou of course. The wind rang the lyrics to her song into his ears. 'Who's there?' His ears shot forward to the question and a smirk tugged at the edge of his lips, daring to appear. The inu hanyou wouldn't allow such a thing just yet though. Rising slightly from his place in the tree that he had taken to, he found himself searching. Soon that red violet gaze had settled on a the target. He got a good look at her to see she was a miko.
With the grace of a cat, he jumped back down from the tree and landed in a slightly crouching position before the priestess. Shifting himself up, the shinobi smiled at her. "Well isn't this ironic. A dog and a cat," he said, laughing slightly. He was on guard but was good at acting enough that he didn't show it. Oh it was rare that he ever came across another hanyou like himself. This would be a dare to remember and he figured that he may as well go and have some fun with her. There was no reason that he couldn't anyway. It wasn't like he was busy.
"You know, it's not really smart for someone like you to come out around here and start venturing around before it gets dark outside. It's dangerous." Revlis found himself stepping towards the female until he was a good one to two feet away from her. His red violet orbs ran over her, trying to see if maybe he remembered her or something. Although nothing about her jogged his memory. All he could recognize was the clothing of a priestess but that could have fallen under many people that he had met in his life time. He leaned in slightly, that same stupid cocky grin on his face. "Me-ow~"

Every muscle in the Miko’s petite body tensed when the stranger landed before her. Wasting no time, Kaori pointed her arrow between the male’s eyes, prepared to shot if she must. As her blue orbs scanned his form up and down she was almost taken back by his appearance. ‘An Inu Hanyou…’ She thought to herself with curiosity.
Perking her ears, the Neko Hanyou listened to his words. He seemed to find himself amusing, though Kaori did not share such feelings. She stared emotionlessly at the Inu as he continued to speak and she couldn’t help but wonder if he was trying to get a rise out of her. Lowering her bow, the young Miko placed the arrow back into the quiver on her back.
“Are you implying I cannot take care of myself?” Kaori questioned the fellow Hanyou. “I do not fear the darkness, nor the things that may be hiding in it.” She calmly explained. If the stranger was trying to provoke the Miko with his words then he would have to step up his game. It would take far more effort. Suddenly she noticed the male starting to approach closer. For a moment she considered backing up, however, she didn’t want to appear threatened by his presence. She stood her ground.
Kaori could feel hear heart starting to pound as her chest began to rise and fall heavily. He was too close for comfort. It’s wasn’t because he was a Hanyou like her that she felt so uneasy, just the fact he was someone she has never met. There was no doubt that the Miko had far more enemies than friends. Meeting his gaze, Kaori took note of the cocky grin on his face as he seemed to mock her with a ‘Me-ow’.
An unusual soft smile spread across her lips. “Well… aren’t you just full of yourself. Tell me, what is your name?” She asked with a slight tilt of her head while trying to hide the nervousness deep within.

"Oh my apologizes M'lady if my words came off that way. I never meant to say that you couldn't protect yourself. It was nothing more than a reminder," he happily said to her then. He kept that same grin back on his face as he watched her, listened to her. He could hear her heart racing and that just had him even more interested in her. Maybe it was one of those cats were supposed to be afraid of dogs sort of thing. Yet, they both had that same human side to them that should have prevented such a thing form happening. What was his name? He'd heard that many times.
Should he tell her or make her wonder? He wasn't sure but didn't want her to get on edge and pull out one of those arrows again. From past experience he'd learned rather quickly that spiritual arrows did hurt. It wasn't hard to tell by her aura either that she was strong. To strong for his own liking but he wouldn't express it. "Revlis Revirra. It's a pleasure to meet you, M'lady." The words rolled off his tongue so naturally that he didn't even have to think about it at all. He'd be sort of nice to her as long as she returned the favor.
Revlis then tilted his head in that cute little puppy way that he did sometimes, a look of confusion expressed on his features. "If I may ask... What would you name be?" His ears then perked back up, a gentle cling of his earrings could be heard. His tail then flickered up behind him and swayed back and forth to express his happiness with this so far. There was no threat. To him it was just two hanyou getting to know each other. A shinobi and a miko. To be honest, it was a relief to talk to someone like himself by blood. Though of course he could just never go and say such a thing.

Kaori listened intently to the Inu hanyou’s polite apology. Perhaps she had judged his intentions too harshly. Now it was clear that the male was not a threat; which was a great relief. The quickened beat of her heart began to slow as she relaxed her body once more. When the Inu spoke his name the Miko gave a kind, if not a bit forced smile. “The pleasure is all mine.” She responded with sincerity in her voice.
‘I believe he is trustworthy…’ The Neko Hanyou hoped her inner intuition was correct. It was a pretty big risk, but she soon decided to lay her weapon down in show of friendship. Kaori leaned to the side, resting her bow against the trunk of a nearby tree. She then straightened once more and gazed up into Revlis’s eyes. Her Neko ears flicked when the question of her name reached them. A silent moment went by where all that could be heard was the rustling of leaves in the breeze.
“Kaori…” She muttered softly before her voice trailed off.
She had no surname to speak of, which saddened her heart. It was a constant reminder that her parent’s were dead and she was never able to meet them. If her parents hadn’t died when she was just a newborn then she would never had found her destiny as a hanyou Miko. That was the only thing that made the tragedy bearable. Still… it pained her greatly for many reasons. One being that she would never know her family name. Pushing those depressing thoughts aside, Kaori quickly changed the conversation.
“I’m sorry if I came off as cold earlier, but you must understand… Due to the nature of who I am, I must be weary of those I do not know. It truly is a pleasure to meet you, Revlis. You are the first being I have personally met that’s similar to me.”

His red violet gazed ventured to her weapon as she set it back down on the ground. He was surprised that she would take such a risk around someone that she didn't know. He himself had no weapons to set down because he didn't carry them by hand. It made it easier for him to fight openly with both hands that way. His swords rested on his sides. His kunai knives, and shuriken were hidden away in various pockets. Revlis had also taken note that her heart had settled down some. She was putting to much trust in him to quickly, wasn't she? He didn't understand.
"You have a beautiful name, Miss Kaori." He raised a brow at her then, recalling her last words spoken to him. "Well I'm honored to be your first hanyou that you've met." He was really surprised that she'd never met another hanyou before. Maybe he just got out more then a priestess did. Being a shinobi he was always sent out on missions that called for his aid. So he got to meet many various different people from time to time. Not to mention that he had grown up with some and once lived with three of them. Now he just ventured around on his own here.
Looking at her for a moment, he blinked, smiling then at the collar around her neck. "I thought dogs were supposed to be the one wearing collars," he said jokingly "Now what would a pretty kitty like you ever need one for?" Though he did take a note of some of the remanding chains he would say nothing of them. He figured that they were just a decoration or something of the sort to ad onto the mystery of the collar that Kaori wore. He didn't advance toward her this time but instead gave her the space she wanted. He wasn't going to go and totally upset her.

With a tilt of her head, Kaori smiled warmly at Revlis. ‘He thinks my name is beautiful?’ She thought to herself. Never had she been given such a compliment. The Neko Hanyou had always spent her life in the unwelcoming company of humans. She also had experienced plenty of demons in her years, but naturally they always wanted to injure or kill her. Rarely in her life had she received such kind words and respect. It was a nice change of pace. Perhaps that was why she was putting so much trust in the Inu Hanyou. She knew it was dangerous, especially for a Miko like herself. If Kaori’s sensei could see her now she would no doubt smack her upside the head with a wooden pole for her stupidity.
Perking her furry ears, the neko listened quietly to Revlis’s question regarding the heavy metal collar around her neck. Almost instantly her smile faded into a frown and she quickly looked down, an aura of sadness emitting off her. It was a long painful story, one she wished could be yanked from her memory. However, Kaori wanted to be polite and answer his question so she decided to give him the short version. “I was held prisoner for… to be honest I’m not sure how much time went by. I was asleep for many years, this I know, but I did not age a second. When I awoke I was chained with this hideous collar. A Monk saved my life and freed me, which I’m eternally grateful for. However, he was unable to remove the collar and remaining chain from my neck. It’s shielded by an unbelievably powerful spell.”
Looking up, Kaori’s deep blue eyes met Revlis’s gaze. She was unsure what else to say, so she simply waited for some kind of response. Her attention shifted to the sky momentarily as she suddenly realized the sun had set behind the mountains. Off in the distance she could hear the stirring of demons within the forest, though she paid little attention to them. The Miko knew her spiritual aura was like a beacon to the creatures of darkness and if they were to come for her… well she would just have to burn that bridge when she got to it.

It wasn't hard for him at all to take a quick notice the Kaori's energy. To him now it seemed that it had gone to a weakened state. Though her story explained it all to him and he felt bad for even asking her in the first place now. It was supposed to be a harmless joke, something that he was to find amusing. Though of course things would never go as planned for him. It was as if life wouldn't allow such a thing. His ears pinned back as he looked on at the priestess then.
"I'm sorry," he said politely so show that he had listened and did feel somewhat sorrow for yet. He'd never take full pity on someone though. It went against him and some people didn't even want it in the first place. No no no, this was nonsense. He didn't need to be worrying about such things and apologizing for something that he didn't even do. Revlis cast the thought away deep in his mind so that it could be thought about later. There were better things to talk about right at this moment in time.
He too could sense the demonic auras around them. Oh it would be fun if a demon even tried to attack one of there. Here you had a prietess and a shinobi. Even if they were only half demons and a dog and a cat, he was sure they could do some damage together. Then he looked back to the girl again. "You want me to go beat the crap out of the person that imprisoned you," he then asked her. He'd found nothing wrong with a good fight here and there. Well that was if they could find the person.
His red violet gaze then shifted back to the collar again as he thought about it. So it had some kind of spell that was hard to break. Well someone had to be able to break it, right? "What sort of spell is it?" Maybe if he couldn't break it himself he could find someone else to break it. Revlis had never understood why he sometimes felt like he should help other people. Though he blamed the shinobi part of him that was sent out to help people when he did missions. It only made sense in his own mind.

The Inu Hanyou’s apology made little since to Kaori. Even though she understood why he spoke that word, ‘Sorry’ there was no need to be, she was free now. That was all that mattered in her mind. Though occasionally she did feel the need for revenge or even justice for what that cruel man put her through. The Neko Priestess let out a rattled sigh. All this recalling of her past and bringing up dead memories was making her anxious inside.
Her deep blue orbs shifted towards the heavy metal collar around her fragile neck. She remembered the first year in which she was actually conscious while wearing it. The collar had severely bruised and discolored the pale skin beneath it. Although she could not see the damage, she could feel it. Some days her neck would be so incredibly sore from the constant pressure and weight that she couldn’t lift her head. Thankfully, over time, her body became accustomed to its presence.
Kaori looked back at Revlis just as he began to speak of beating the crap out the person behind her imprisonment. Part of the Neko Hanyou felt like screaming out ‘Yes!’ and allowing the young man that stood before her to rip that damned sorcerer to pieces. Alas, she could not bring herself to approve such a thing, though she did wish with all her heart that the cruelty she endured would be bestowed on that wretched man. “Why would you do such a thing for someone you barely know?” Was all she could softly mutter out.
Flicking her ears forward, the Neko Priestess listened to the Inu’s following words. Her head tilted to the side in curiosity of why he was interested in such a thing. ‘Does he think he can break the spell?’ She questioned in thought before answering. “It was created using ancient magic by a Dark Sorcerer.” Kaori knew that there had to be someone, somewhere, who could break the spell on collar around her neck. It was only a matter of finding said being.

When she questioned him about as to why he would want to help her, he raised a brow back up at her and blinked. "Why wouldn't I want to," he responded blankly, yet with a hint of confusion. "You've done enough good for the people being a priestess. You deserve true freedom... don't you? Bound by a chain is no way to live." Well it wasn't like he could say much. He wore chains himself but that was just for pure fashion. There was nothing else much more to them other than that one reason there.
His ears then flickered upwards when she spoke of the sort of magic that had the chain bound to her. A smirk crossed his features, he had an amazing idea. His friend Oriel knew magic and had lived for three hundred years studying it. So why couldn't his friend help? Oh right, there was that argument that they had gotten into. Not to mention that Oriel almost didn't care for anyone but himself. Well, that threw that option out of the question. A low growl rumbled in his throat in the frustration of his now failed epic plan.
Revlis bit down on his lip then trying to think again. His fang pierced his bottom lip and a little blood leaked out but it healed within about a minute. He stopped himself from thinking just then. Instead he grinned, and looked back up at Kaori, and gave her one of those peace signs with his fingers. "Well looks like you're stuck with me until we fix your problem here, love." His grin actually wasn't take at all. He was serious about every word that he had just said. There was no way he could let her suffer.
"We'll go kick some sorcerer ass and break a spell. An epic adventure! Miko and Shuurai shinobi! A legend to be made!" Okay, well now maybe he was getting to worked up about it. It had gotten out of hand with his words but well, that was Revlis for you. "So where did the fool live? That's the first place we can search for clues and pick up the scent." He almost wasn't really giving the neko hanyou again. He'd follow her and keep up with any ease if she even tried to run. May as well let him stick around for amusement, right?

Koari stood in silence while Revlis spoke of how she deserved true freedom. She couldn’t help but chuckle inside at why she had never even considered viewing her situation that way. He was right, even though she wouldn’t admit it. The Neko Priestess had sacrificed so much, including her one chance at love, to become a divine being of purity. Of course she would never regret the path destined for her, but she did see the shinobi’s point.
Gazing intriguingly at the other hanyou, she could tell he was lost in thought and she wondered why. Deep down she could feel hope stirring. Did he know of a solution? Or perhaps he had a plan that would help her gain complete freedom? Sadly, no such suggestions emitted past his lips. Kaori couldn’t stop the feeling of disappointment that slowly flooded her heart.
Suddenly she noticed the young man pierce his own lip with one of his fangs until it bled slightly. The Priestess blinked in confusion. Was he frustrated with her? For a moment she considered just departing from the area. The Inu hanyou was a bit strange, and she was having a hard time reading his behavior. Just as she was about to say her farewell, she watched Revlis make that ridicules peace sign with his fingers like he had done earlier.
A warm smile was gently flashed his direction as she soaked in his words. She found his upbeat and confident attitude refreshing, which was good since it seemed they would be spending a lot more time together. “Arigato, Revlis.” She muttered shyly, knowing there was no point in trying to argue. The priestess then listened as the shinobi rambled on. She decided against commenting on his choice of words, no matter house puzzling they were. ‘What on earth does this ‘Epic’ mean?’ Kaori thought to herself with a few blinks.
Shrugging it off, she focused on his latest question. “Where does he live…” Her voice trailed off as the memories came thundering back. Images of the battle she fought with the sorcerer’s minions flashed before her eyes. She recalled being overpowered by the demons and then having her semi-conscious body dragged for miles. There was one detail Kaori distinctly remembered… the gentle roar of water could be faintly heard at the sorcerer’s lair. “Somewhere near Itonami River in the Northern Lands. It’s concealed by a large patch of forest and a barrier.” She finally replied.
Just then her neko ears picked up the pounding of large feet on the ground. The priestess quickly grabbed her bow that rested against the tree trunk. “We have company…” She spoke while giving Revlis a serious glance, figuring he already was aware since they were both hanyou’s. Looking forward again, Kaori stared at a trembling patch of trees. Whatever it was, it was approaching fast. Before the Priestess could even take another breath the large horned demon broke through trees and swung it’s huge clawed hand at the pair. With her neko grace, Kaori leaped back and landed on a tree branch. Her blue eyes searched for Revlis through the leaves, she hoped he had dodged the attack in time as well.

It was amusing to him how they were both almost different and yet the same. Here he was, the crazy confident one that was willing to help her. She was the shy one though. Well everyone always had said that opposites attract. Maybe it was one of those sort of things. He didn't know but decided not to question it at all. There were more important things at hand right now. Things like trying to find this guy that had done this to Kaori and then beating him to a pulp. He really liked just the idea of it.
All at once he was glad and not so glad to hear that the place had been in the northern lands near the river. He was glad because these lands were where he'd grown up as a shinobi. Not the river itself but just the north in general. It was bad for him because that meant that he risked facing that stupid Shoju Bayushi again. That was one thing that he didn't want to deal with at that time. Bayushi had brought nothing but problems in his eyes. That was something greatly uncalled for since he became lord.
He smirked back at Kaori when she warned them that they had company. Oh it was only oh so obvious in his eyes. He'd been trained to pinpoint the presence of demons in a split second. Obviously this one was stupid enough to try and deal with them at that time. Oh well, it would be his funeral and Revlis would happily be the one to begin it. Any demon that had the guts to face him may as well die properly right? He tried to decide if it should be fire or lightning this time. So many choices.
Revlis' red violet gaze narrowed as he looked back top the trees from where the demon was coming. One. Two. Three. He jumped the second that the demon's disgusting clawed hand had come back out and tried to hit them. From what he could gather that there was no screams of pain, Kaori had also made a great escape from the attack. His tail flickered in approval and he landed gracefully in a tree. The branch was sturdy enough to catch the impact of his body without it even cracking. He landed just like how a cat would have.
Shifting his attention back to where the clawed hand had come, he smiled. With an easy leap, he found himself going higher into the trees. When he caught a sight of part of the demon, he leaped back to it and landed on the hideous creature's shoulder. "You know, it's not nice to attack a lady, dumbass," he said mockingly to the demon. Raising a brow, he dropped his guard around the creature, sure that it was to stupid to even know to attack him. Though that could have been a mistake just one his down part then.
"Hey Kaori! Let's have some fun with this one!" He glanced back at the demon for a second, keeping his balance on the creature's shoulder. "Maybe you should consider getting a make over one day. You have taco breath and you reek of blood. That's just ew," he continued to ramble on to the demon. With a bright shine in his eyes, he glanced around for a second, his tail swaying back and forth as he did so. "Oh wait I'm sorry... Make up wouldn't even do the trick you're so ugly. God hated you."

Kaori’s dark blue eyes scanned the area for any sign of the shinobi. Her heart sank momentarily as she assumed the worst had happened to him. Although it wasn’t a powerful attack, she had no previous knowledge of the Inu Hanyou’s fighting abilities. Just then, seemingly out of no where, she noticed someone land on the large demons shoulder. It was Revlis and he was confident as ever. Kaori felt a big relief, even though she wouldn’t outwardly express it.
What a concept the priestess was not used to, being with someone who could take care of themselves and actually help in a fight. Usually she was the one having to get her hands dirty, so to speak. In the past it was always up to her to protect those who could not do so themselves. It was nice to know someone else that had experience battling demons. Leaping from the tree branch, Kaori kept her eyes locked on the beast before her as Revlis mocked him. She landed softly on the ground below and readied an arrow in her bow.
The demon laughed at the Inu Hanyou’s comment on how it was not nice to attack a lady. ‘That is no lady! She’s a pathetic half-breed like you and even more pathetic, a Miko!’ He spoke in a voice deep enough to make the earth tremble in fear.
Kaori ignored the demons words, she did not need the approval of such a dark being. Flicking her ears forward, she listened as Revlis called down to her. ‘Let’s have some fun with this one?’ She repeated his words in thought while questioning if he was out of his damn mind. Fun did not include fighting, at least not in her opinion. As the Inu Hanyou continued to try and talk the demons ear off, Kaori was taking aim. One sacred arrow and the threat would vanish without a trace.
Suddenly without warning, the large horned beast took another swing at Revlis with anger. “Watch yourself!” The Priestess yelled out of sheer force of habit. For that split second, while her attention was focused on the other hanyou, her guard was lowered. A perfect opportunity the demon instantly took full advantage off. Out of no where a large scaled tail appeared behind him as he swung it full speed in Kaori’s direction. Her eyes widened in surprise, it was a silly mistake on her part.
Without enough time to concentrate her spiritual power, the priestess was just barely able to fire off a normal arrow in the demons direction before being slammed in the stomach by its massive tail. Kaori was sent soaring backwards like a fragile rag doll. She made no sound of pain and showed no emotion as her petite body landed with a loud thud then tumbled across the ground. Once she came to a stop against the trunk of a tree, she laid motionless. Her Miko clothing was now dirty and torn here and there, but she was overall unharmed. ‘Way to go Kaori… as if you didn’t already come off as weak while telling your past to him.’ She thought in disappointment with her own actions.
With trembling pale hands, the neko hanyou pushed herself off the cold earth. Her attention soon turned back onto the demon that now stood a few yards away. “So… my arrow did hit,” She whispered softly while taking notice to the end sticking out of its disgusting eye. The horned beast was yelling out in pain now, which was like beautiful music to her ears.

He wasn't all to thrilled at this demon's stupid comment on their girl that he had been talking to. For one, he didn't like being insulted as a half demon. Secondly, he didn't like this demon insulting other half-demons. Three, miko had once played a large role in his life. He'd always had great respect for any powerful class and a priestess was one of them. A low growl reputed in his throat at the thought, clear that he was becoming annoyed with this stupid creature before them. Oh this demon would pay now.
Though since he had been to distracted by his own thoughts, he hadn't noticed that the demon had gone to make an attack on him. As he went to leap off of the demon's shoulder that second, he was to slow in the process, distracted by the tail coming back at Kaori. The demon's brute strength ended up shattering the bone in his left arm. The inu hanyou bit down on his lip as he landed back down on the ground again. He grabbed his broken arm with his free hand. This was not going to well.
Aside from it not being the first time that he'd broken an arm, he knew that he would be healed up and it would function in a couple of days. 'Damn. That's what I get for letting the blood get to my head,' he growled at himself in thought. He'd settle that later. As he landed, he then saw that Kaori had been sent tumbling back into a tree and his red violet gaze grew furious as he looked back up at the demon. Now this demon was just starting to upset him more. Not so smart.
An arrow had struck the demon in the eye and he knew Kaori must have been alright when she got back up again. Now maybe he could try and focus on fighting, if his arm would allow it. Sparks began to fly around his body while his body temperature was rising. The blood inside him was boiling thanks to his own fire chakra. With fangs bared, he braced himself as a lighting bolt formed in his hand. There was no way he could fight as gracefully as he would have before now that he had gotten himself hurt seconds ago.
Reaching back into his pocket, the electrically still flying around, he grabbed some kunai knives. The lightning in his had transferred to the blades to make them even more deadly. He shifted his weight back to the ground. With his good hand, he then threw the kunai knives back at the demon, sure that one of the five would have to hit. If any of them made contact, it would be like being struck by real lightning. Revlis didn't play around anymore when it came to fighting while his life was on the line. Now was that unexpected time.
Lucky for him he'd braced himself enough so that he hadn't jerked his left arm around that much. Also lucky for him, he was right handed in the first place so that did help a lot. "Maybe you should pick on someone else for a change and leave the miko out of this," he barked back at the demon. "Oh, I'm sorry don't let your mind wander to much. You may get lost in thought and never find you way back out." He smirked as his own remark but watched carefully this time for any attacks that may have come at him.
