Many often wandered through the forest, searching for the Tree that the Inu Hanyau had once been pinned too. The very place where the Miko had perished, Died protecting the Jewel she had been bound to her entire life. The story of the Betrayel of the Two lovers, Forever kept apart by Fate.
Darkness rolled over the sky, white flecks littered the midnight blue sky and a half moon rested high above the lands, Casting silver shadows across the lands. A lone female stood in the Darkness, Soul Bringers floated around the tree's, casting blue glow across her as they fluttered on by. This was Kikyo, the Priestess doomed to protect the Shikon no Tama, the very same priestess that was Murdered nearly Fifty years ago. Brought back again, this time for a Different purpose.
A single sigh passed through her lips as she walked, Long ebony hair flicking back and forth as it danced in the cool air. Her eyes were heavy, and glazed over; Lost in thought. Every now and then and Soul Bringer would bring her another soul, dropping the little blue ball into her chest before fluttering off again. They were the very things keeping her fake body alive. Without them she would surely die.
There was a tree, a Single tree that she traveled too. A single tree out of the Thousands she sought out. It wasn't deep in the forest, and didn't take her long to arrive upon. As it came into view, her eyes flashed as they gazed upon it. Roots danced across the trunk where the Inu Hanyau once rested, Once again her eyes closed as a hand flew across her chest. This was a painful place, the very place she had died.
Her heart was torn, between what was right and what she wanted. She wanted to become alive again, Feel the beating of her heart in her chest. Taste food on her tonuge. Be able to become whole again, with the Shikon no Tama she could. Yet she couldn't, and wouldn't take the life of young Kohaku. Whose very life depended on the Shard in his back, without it he would die.
The Miko found a place beneath the tree and let her body gracefully lay across the ground. Her black hair sprawled out around her, Damn these emotions. Damn them all. Her heart felt as if It was breaking all over again, and she could do nothing about it. She had to be strong, she couldn't let a Demon find her like this. Steal her Shards... She sighed once again and sat up. Another soul bringer dropping another soul into her chest, It would be nice to be alive again. No longer would she need to feed off the Souls of the dead.

The night was beautiful as he allowed the specks of light to reflect off his red violet orbs. There was such a hush in the wind. He allowed it to sing to him, bring him the comfort of what it could. Yet, how much peace could it offer him tonight? He didn't know because he mind spun around with so many different topics there was no way that he could focus. Why was he even in the eastern lands in the first place? He only had purpose in the northern lands and in the modern era. That was all, right?
Oh right, his son was supposed to be the lord of the east now. That same son that he didn't want. It wasn't like he had come here to visit him or something like that. It would be a waste of both of their time. He was sure that Shadow didn't want to see him as much as he didn't want to see the twit either. Maybe he should have just turned around and gone off and done a mission. He could just tell everyone that he went by the castle to pay a visit and no one was there.
His black and white ears flashed forward when he heard something disrupt the current in the wind. It was the sound of something off moving into the wind. He sniffed the air lightly to pick up the scent of the demons. Then his gaze caught slight of one as he scanned the area to find the source. He watched as Kikyou's soul collectors took off with a soul and ventured off to wherever the miko had been. He didn't understand why they would have souls in the first place if they just weren't eating them right now.
"It's better than having to deal with Shadow," he told himself a loud. The inu hanyou then shifted himself up and took to the trees, following the creatures that carried off these souls. 'What an odd thing though,' he thought to himself. As he began to get closer, he could then take in Kikyou's scent. Though to him it didn't smell like bones, clay, and ashes. He couldn't really put a word or a name to the scent that had caught him off guard and that was very frustrating for him just then. He didn't like not knowing things.
He then took Kikyou into his view and noticed she was laying down. 'Just a human,' he thought to himself with a smirk crossing his features. He landed back down on the ground then as he saw the soul collector that he was following drop a soul into Kikyou's body. "You know it's not that nice to steal a soul or two... or three," he said not to sure how many she had been taking in. "What would a human like you need with souls anyway?" His voice held no threat but he was more curious than anything.

Peace, it was a rather valuable thing and not to mention something she didn't like to have disturbed. The tree's off to her left rustled, and her brown eyes shot open to stare at the Inu hanyau. Her gaze taking in his much different form, it was strange to see another one staring at her. Much in the same mannerism Inuyasha would. She stilffed a low frustrated growl and slowly sat up. Her brown eyes never leaving the half demon before her.
That lonely gaze shifted to her soul collector as it dropped another soul into her chest, each one was bringing her new strength. After her day with Inuyasha she needed to catch back up, and let her body become normal again. Hearing him speak, her gaze focused back upon the Inu Hanyau "I am no normal Human." she whispered softly. Another blue soul drifted into her chest, eluminating her face before it dissappered. "I am lady Kikyo, perhaps you have heard my tale?" she asked softly. Many had, and many then understood. Though if not, then she would tell him of her death peraps, and her reason for collecting souls.

His ears pricked forward at her words and he blinked while raising a brow. How could someone not be a normal human? She looked normal enough to him but she'd caught his interest. Taking his chances, he jumped back over to her and landed before her in a crouch. "You know, that never answered my question," he reminded her with a fanged grin. He was really hoping that she wouldn't go and use her spiritual powers on him or something like that. He'd been in enough fights lately and wasn't up for one against a priestess.
"Maybe I've heard you name before. Something to do with the Shikon no Tama," he then asked, curious. Although, he had no intent to take the jewel shards or even use the jewel as a hole the way InuYasha did. To him being a hanyou was the best thing. Both humans and demons normally feared you or were blinded by their hate. He'd always use that to his advantage. "Opps. I'm Revlis Revirra... Shuurai shinobi." Why as he even sitting here talking to a human in the first place? Sure he could tolerate them more than Shadow but still.

The powerful Miko sat still, her chest rising and failling in a relaxed manner while her chocolate eyes studied the hanyou. From his modern clothing to his violet eyes, He was much different then she was used to. Yet, she'd taken an interest in him. Perhaps he could be useful to gaining further knowledge of the New Lords. Her eyes couldn't help but narrow slightly when he landed infront of her. Though she remained still, her gaze studied him closer now. Waiting to see if he would strike, or was just being curious.
Once again his lyrics filled her ears, and she couldn't help but to give a half hearted grin. "I was murdered by Naraku 50 years ago, as I am the Priestess who protects the Jewel. Though currently I seek to Destroy it.." she muttered softly. There was no need for intimate details, It was already painful enough to remember the memories of her and Inuyasha. Though she didn't let the pain reach her eyes, it weighed heavy on her heart.
Hearing his name, she gave a bit of a warmer smile "It's a pleasure to meet you Revlis Revirra." she spoke softly now. Letting the breeze carry her words to him, not her own voice box.

If she was murdered then how in the heck was she alive again? He didn't have answers to the questions that ran though his head, one after the other. He would say nothing of them... yet. "Well there's not much for you to 'protect' if it's shattered in pieces and you're trying to destroy it, eh? Sort of goes against your whole protecting plan," he mocked. He looked at her smile with those red violet orbs, trying to understand her. Humans were odd. "Shikon no Tama or not, the shards are useless and you should stop wasting your time trying to find them."
Even though he really wanted to say that he could believe that, he'd only found one purpose for the shard. That was to save his friend Oriel from the demon Rhita Gwar. It was only a matter of finding a shard of the jewel to help. "Why would you even want to protect this Shikon no Tama? What happens to the rest of the world should be no concern of yours. Please explain, Miss Kikyou." His tail waved behind him as his interest in her kept taking hold. He'd find an answer one way or the other. Right now it was just a matter of time.

The Miko studied the Inu Hanyou for a moment, Letting her gaze take in his odd appearance. He reminded her of Kagome, the way he spoke and dressed. It was different from her own attire, and something that she still didn't quite understand. Yet, aside from that he resemlbed Inuyasha. His dog like ears, though he had a tail. Another new thing, It reminded her of Koga and his Wolf Tribe. She couldn't help to wonder if he was still alright.
Listening to him speak, his words fell on a rather emotionless gaze. His mocking tone, would've angered her if it was Inuyasha. To a stranger, she merely shook her head. "Naraku is a great Demon, and he plans to make the Shikon no Tama whole again, and use it's power for his own use. That is what I am protecting, If the shards remain with those that do not use its power for Ill will, they shall keep them. I am in search of those that continue to abuse the power of the Shikon no Tama." her words were blunt, and her gaze rather empty as she stared at him.
Once again his words fell upon her ears, and she started responding sooner then she thought. "If the Jewel falls into the wrong hands, We would all be doomed. You can ask the Jewel for unlimitless power, or whatever your heart desires. I made an Oath to protect the Jewel, whether as a whole or shards I will watch over it till I die." she spoke once again in that same tone. Whether or not he understood, didn't matter. She knew her reasons, and she knew what she had to do.

Naraku. He'd thought that maybe he'd heard something about that demon before. Though he'd never met him in person or anything so she'd never found himself caring much about it. Then again, why should he concern himself with something so pointless. If this demon came to power, so what? Even if he hadn't met this demon before, he knew someone that was just as greedy for power if not more greedy. Shadow. There was no question about that in his mind. Shadow went out for anything that he could. Kill whenever he wanted as well.
"Well priestess, I advise you to keep your eyes on two hanyou about this Shikon no Tama then," he said. "Shadow Revirra, the Lord of the East, seeks nothing but power and will take your life in a second if he has an urge to get this Shikon no Tama you speak of." The second one, he smirked when he thought about her. "There's also Raveik Revirra, Shadow's sister. She seeks to surpass him in power but it's more of a sibling rivalry for her." Was he really just standing there telling on his family? Maybe yes.
He then decided that maybe he would test this miko, push his limits and see what she would do about it. One day he really was going to get himself in trouble if he kept messing with people the way that he did now. With a single leap, he landed in front of Kikyou in a crouching position but didn't shift himself around. He was fine as he way. "And what would happen if there was suddenly no Kikyou to protect the jewel," he asked slyly while spinning a kunai knife on his index finger. This was to fun.

Her dark brown eyes never once left him, studying every hand gesture and every dart of his eye. From him blinking, to the twitching of his tail. You could never be to trusting in this world, Not a Miko like Kikyo. His voice caught her attention mildly, and she gave a brief nod. "Thank you for the Warning. I shall keep my eyes on them as well." she spoke in her usual tone. Emotion was not something she could let show in her eyes, It made her seem weak. Which she wasn't of course.
The Miko shifted her weight, letting her rest with one knee down and the other up. (Like she's kneeling) her bow gripped in one hand and her arrows strung across her back. She seemed defensless enough, Many demons often had to find out the hard way she wasn't as innocent as she looked. Her eyes shifted onto the hanyau before her, and she couldn't help but let her eyes examine him further. He was even stranger looking up close.. Far different then any hanyou or youkai she'd ever seen. They seemed to be drifting away from their own time, and into the wrong time. It disgusted her really.
Hearing his words, she simply stared at him with those lifeless eyes "Perhaps nothing. Yet all at the same time, disaster would reign. If these demons you speak of, along with Naraku get the power they so desire.. I would fear what could come." she spoke softly. He didn't threaten her, or did she feel threatened by him. At the least, her very presence was warding to many demons. This one just seemed rather stubborn.
Slowly she stood up, letting her hands fall at her sides, hidden in her white sleeves. The wind picked up at that moment, whipping the loose fabric of her clothes, and sending her hair dancing in the wind. The whistle of his blade stung in her ears, and her gaze fell back onto the young lad once more "I suggest you put such things away.. We wouldn't want to see you hurt." she said, as if mocking him as he had done earlier to her.

He looked back up at Kikyou as he watched her stand up and mimic her actions. He didn't like feeling that he was lower than someone. He really her words about Raveik and Shadow being demons and couldn't help but laugh when he replayed it in his head. "Oh Kikyou, Kikyou, Kikyou. What am I going to do with you? Being a youkai is the last thing that they would ever be. They're hanyou of course," he said, smirking when he finished. Of course he too was a hanyou but saw himself to be in another class.
Thinking about her comment on his kunai knives, he couldn't help but lean in towards her some and smile. "I could never get hurt, love," he said while still spinning the weapon on his finger. For a second, he sped up the spinning and then let it fly off his finger and towards Kikyou but caught it before it could get close enough to her. He then went back to spinning again, watching her carefully. His tail began to wag back and forth slowly to show his happiness while those ears stayed forward, listening carefully to the odd woman.
"Oops, I'm sorry," he said as if he hadn't meant to throw the weapon at her. He put his ears back to the side and then folded his hands together and got one of those sad puppy looks on his face. "Could you ever forgive me," he whined out. He hadn't tried this one anyone in a while but found it more fun to play around with this priestess. He liked how she showed no emotion toward him. It was what drove him crazy to try and figure her out. He just needed the special key, right?
The whole thing about this Shikon no Tama was still spinning through his head. He wondered what it may have looked like when it was complete. He still wondered why Kikyou would risk her life to protect a jewel. How had it gotten the power that it had? Why did everyone want so much power in the first place? There were so many questions ticking through his head. Though he figured as long as he had Kikyou's attention that he would take his time on asking them and slowly pull the information from her. He had nowhere to go.

"Oh hi thar Revlis!" Usagi said, hanging upside down from a tree branch, sounding unbelievably casual. Did he just feign throwing a knife at a Priestess? How charming. The shards hanging from his neck seemed to glow as it neared Kikyou. He had no idea how he could even be near her, it was probably the shards. "I see you're fitting your quota of accostation for the day. How's it hanging?"

His ears flickered back when he heard a familiar voice. Revlis growled softly to himself under his breath, to low for Kikyou to hear him. 'Well there went my fun for the day,' he thought. He didn't glance back and allowed the kunai knife to spin on his finger again and let it fly off straight at Usagi. A smirk crossed his features, sure that the rabbit youkai could dodge it. If not, then it would teach him to move, wouldn't it? "Usagi, why am I honored with your presence today," he then asked, still not looking back.

Usagi blinked and the knife bounced off his forehead harmlessly. "Still unpleasant as usual are we?" Usagi back flipped off the tree and landed a few feet away from the odd pair. Those two together were almost weirder than him. A hanyou and a Miko. Especially this Miko in particular. The shard was literally being pulled towards her off his neck. "I'm flattered by your obvious sarcasm Revlis. Now why am I honored with your presence in my home?"

He smirked and finally turned to look back at the rabbit youkai again. Though he was sure to not let his guard down around Kikyou. you never knew when someone would try an come after you if you didn't pay attention to them. With a single motion of his fingers, the kunai knife came back to him and he started to spin it around his index finger again. "Oh? You have a home? I would have figured that you just stalk me around everywhere," Revlis mocked back. It did seem like that though. Ugsagi showed up at the oddest times.

A vine gripped Revlis leg tightly. "And I thought I was being discreet." he said sarcastically. A sharpened root came out and headed towards the kunai in an attempt to knock it off his finger. "And yes I do have a home. Lost count on how many though. I have three here I think." It's not like he purposefully chose to have Revlis appear out of nowhere. Out of all the times they met, he was their first. As far as he knew at least.
