It was quite a nice day out, the sun was out and the animals were frolicking about in the forest, this pleased Taisho as his kingdom was at peace... for once. He smiled as he walked throught the beauty of the castle's garden, it always put him at ease to see so much beauty in one place. It was the one of the few places that Taisho didn't have to be the great general he was known for, and could truly relax without feeling to much stress, something that was always rampant throughout his lifetime be it that his family was falling apart, or another lord wished to challenge him for control of the western lands thier was always a new problem that seemed to appear out of nowhere. However he wasn't going to let those problems weigh him down today as he had just finished a war against the lands of the east and all he wanted to do was relax for a moment. He continued to walk until he reached his destination of the small koi pond surrounded by tall bamboo stalks he sat down indian style and closed his eyes listening to the tranquility of nature around him.

Izayoi had been within the palace. She was still getting settled in this huge place. How she would ever find her way around here, she would never know. She would constantly get lost. Standing at the window, she saw the familiar tall, silverhaired figure walking trough the garden. A smile curved her soft lips, and immidiatly she stepped away from the window. Lifting the front of her kimono slightly not to step onto the hem, she hurried from the chamber and along the hallway. The way to the gardens...she knew very well.
Quietly Izayoi approached the tall fgure, unsure if she should suprise him or not. But then again, that keen nose of his always caught her. One day...she swore herself....she would get the better of him. But for now she simply walked around him and kneeled before him, her kimomo pooling around her.
"My lord"
She spoke respectfully and placed her palms together, bowing slightly to the western lord

The rustle in one of the garden's trees was almost soundless when the hanyou had landed so gracefully. Not even the pop of one of his bones could be heard from the impact. His golden orbs ventured around the area but two familiar scents had brought him here. It was time for pay back to one of them.
A smirk was plastered on his features like a great piece of artwork on an open canvas. Twin peaks twitched slightly to the sound of the female voice and he noticed that he was behind the youkai. taking his chances, he hoped that maybe he'd be able to make his surprised attack, not caring if Sesshoumaru would come out or not. Sometimes you just had to go around and enjoy yourself, having fun for once.
One swift movement and he was running on the ground, quickly, but again silently. He'd learned to master this after years and years of practice and fighting demons. "Hah," he shouted as he landed his bare feet in his father shoulders, being careful to avoid the armor. He bent over slightly, getting his face, his silver locks falling behind him as he waved with a grin on his face. InuYasha was here.

*he lets out a quiet sigh of relaxtion before one of his eyes opens slowly to be greeted by the sight of his beautiful wife, a large smile would sprawl onto his face before he rolled his eyes* "My Lord? When did these formalities start my love?" *He let out a loud chuckle and shakes his head* But before he could say anything else a large weight had presented itself on his shoulders letting out a quick umph Taisho glarred up to find his son on his shoulders. He smiled before he grasped one of his sons legs and using his immense strength threw him into the ground creating a huge crater with his son in the center of it. Smiling he looked over towards the crater "Nice try son, but I heard your footsteps from a mile off, however you are getting better!"

Izayoi blinked in suprise, before a huge annoyancemark appeared over her head. She was about to reach up and smack her son over the side the head, when Inu no Taisho took matters into his own hand. Sighing, Izayoi closed her eyes.
"InuYasha, you have the rudest way of interrupting a romantic moment between me and your father"
She opend her eyes and glared at her son, before turning that very glare at her mate.
"And you, my lord....just ruined the garden i worked on all day yesterday. I swear you two are just alike"

He growled as he slid back into the crater, not to pleased at the moment. Although, it hadn't hurt him that bad. He'd taken worse impacts before.
'Damn it,' I was sure I had him that time,' InuYasha thought to himself, glaring back at his father. He glared long and hard, trying to plan something else.
Izayoi had stopped his train of thought though and he looked back at her, a bit of confusion in his eyes. Standing back up, he rubbed his head for a moment before pointing at his father.
"There's nothing romantic about him," he said rudely. He'd never had much respest for anyone but his motehr because she's been the one to teach him and accepct him more than anyone else had.
Looking back to his father again, he shouted.
"Why in the hell did you do that anyway?!"

*He turned his gaze towards his son and laughed* "I have a romantic side my boy, have faith in your father eh?" *he extended his hand down the crater and pulled Inuyasha back up afterwards he had turned his gaze to his mate* "My aplogies love, I didn't mean to destroy all the hard work you put into the garden, ill repair the damages." *As his son barked out at him again Taisho just smiled and laughed* "Simple, you tried sneaking up on your old man, and then jumped onto my shoulders, you didn't think I was just going to let you get away with such a ruckus did you?"

InuYasha felt like bursting out laughing at his father words. What in the heck did he honestly think he was saying? Did he really think InuYasha would believe it. He held the laugh back though and just stored it as a mental joke for himself.
"Ruckus? You think I caused ruckus when you did that," he said pointing to the crater and the destroyed garden. "That's ruckus."
He glanced back at his mother for a moment and then to his father again, raising a brow at him.
"What are you doing back here anyway? Sesshoumaru's just gonna wander in and complain as to why I got Tetsusaiga and he didn't... even if he has the new sword. Whatever he calls it."

"Tensaiga my son.. Is the name of his sword, and yes Seshoumaru will complain about it..." Taisho let out a deep sigh before turning to his son once more "Do you even know why I gave you the Tetsaiga and not Tensaiga Inuyasha?"

InuYasha looked at him for a second, trying to think of why he may have done such a thing. Though he couldn't wrap his mind around a true good answer so he came up with his own stupid one. "Because I'm cooler than Sesshoumaru!"

Izayoi watched the two of them, still greatly annoyed at the destruction of the garden she had worked so hard on all day yesterday. But perhaps the destruction was better outside than within the palace.
"By Kami"
The young woman exclaimed as the words turned tiwards the swords. She had overheard the argument between Sesshomaru and InuYasha once or twice over these weapons. There seemd to be a rather strange faszination when it came to men and weapons and apperanetly youkai males were no different than human males. They could get lost in their talk of swords and go on for hours.
"I will not sit here and listen to you two go on and on about these swords."
She bestowed bother her son and mate with a look that told them both she indeed meant every word. It was no often that this gentle woman spoke up about something, but she disliked any violence greatly, and swords were after all weapons meant to cause harm. Izayoi sighed softly, before the corner of her lips curved into a small miscievious smile.
So, her son wanted to rudely interrupt a moment she had to spent peacefully with her mate...and didn't believe it was romantic?
"But InuYasha, you have no idea how wrong you are"
The most charming smile suddenly came to Izayoi's face, looking towards her son. Perhaps she was able to teach him a lesson and "gross" him out enough to go running and leave them be. She had after all seen from his interaction with others, that it was actualy InuYasha that didn't have a romantic side. Unfortunatly Izayoi blamed her early death for this, and never bringing out InuYasha's more caring side. Izayoi turned her head towards Inu no Taisho with an adoring gaze.
"How can you say not romantic, when your father's hair rivals the light of the full moon in th deep, velvet night sky. His eyes burn as brightly as the golden sun on a clear day. Tall and proud, with muscles that play under the skin like steel coverd in velvet, each and every time he moves....."
The young woman broke off, knowing this romantic talk should be enough to chase her son away. Her cheeks had actualy taken on a hint of color, and she hoped her mate was understanding what she tried to do and play along

A slight flicker of his ear was triggered by his mother's sudden words. He could tell in her voice that at first she was upset. That in itself was something to watch out for. Those female humans when they got anger were like demons from hell. He'd found his share of this experience thanks to Kagome's constant "SIT, BOY!" command, Kadae putting the beads on him in the first place, and Kikyou shooting him in the chest with an arrow. He seemed to take note that maybe he was just cursed not to be around human women.
Then suddenly he was wrong about something? He turned his glorious golden gaze away from his father and set it upon his human mother. What was she talking about? He was never wrong about anything because he was InuYasha. That was that. He noticed her sudden smile and then that look that she had given his father. It almost made him sick thinking about it when she spoke those horrid words. He felt like ripping off his ears just so he wouldn't have to hear it. Luckily for him though, it had ended as soon as it had begun.
With his ears pinned back against his head, he stared blankly as his mother, almost as if he had nothing to say as he looked on. Yet, of course the young inu hanyou would always have something to say back to anything. His hand shot straight up and his fingers curved into a fist with only his index finger pointed out. He pointed at the great dog demon before him. "Come on, you honestly really think he's romantic? That's just you trying to but a false image into your head. I mean seriously, look at him," he said.
His gaze suddenly flickered back over to his father to make sure that he thought his own words were true. It worked for him. Nothing to glorious and romantic about him in InuYasha's eyes. Though he wouldn't have had that sort of attraction to his father anyway. He was more of a role model to him. InuYasha had always looked up to his father even if he hadn't been alive while the hanyou was a growing child. He had always envied Sesshoumaru for knowing their father, even just talking to him and knowing what he had looked like while InuYasha knew nothing of the sort until now.

At first Taisho thought he would be in a bit of trouble as his lover had scolded him for using to much brute force with thier child, and then his gaze would turn downwards as she mentioned the two swords. He knew that she hated violence she would cling to him for hours on end before the beginning of any battle begging for him not to go, to stay at the castle and allow the lesser demons to clash out. They both knew that this wasn't possible and he had instantly regreted bringing the subject up.
As Izayoi had started to be poetic with her compliments Taisho would laugh and smile towards his beautiful mate. He could tell that his mate wanted him to go along with the guise as it drove thier son up the wall to say the least, he could smell the fear and disgust off Inuyasha as his mate would weave together her symbolic imagery. Seeing the chance to get equal and another chance to redeem himself of the eyes of his mate Taisho would go along with his mate's little game
He would lovingly return his mate's gaze as his smile only seemed to widen. "Ah my dear boy, you should've seen the places I took your mother to when we first started courting. I remember the first time I saw your mother's face, I could've sworn right then and that I had died on the battlefield and gone to heaven because her beauty was not of this world. The way her eyes sparkled under the night's embrace, The way the moonlight would reflect off her hair sending shimmers of light onto the hot spring that layed below her." *As he continued he would extend his hand and gently caress his lovers cheek* "The moon was so bright that night, it was almost like the sun had never departed us that day. Her skin looked as soft as silk and her lips were the color of the darkest rose in full bloom and the way they were pouted cried to me as if to kiss her right then and there." *With a small glimmer in his eye Taisho would lean forward and brush his lips against his mate's for a quick second before he slid over next to her and wrapped an arm around her slender waist*
*With a loving smile he turned to his son and laughed* "You'll understand one day my boy, when you find that woman who's beauty makes the gods jealous, and when she speaks with that gorgeous tone of hers it will resonate down your ears makes your whole body turn to mush. That my boy is when you are in love."
OOC: (My aplogies my dear Izayoi and not being able to speak with you today, however I hope you do feel better my dear!)

As the words rang throughout his head, he tried to cover up his ears to rid himself of the horrid lyrics. Though, his keen sense of hearing didn't help him at all at this time and he had his father's demon blood in him to blame for that. He twitched at the thought and shivered slightly, a chill of horror running down his spine. Though it was true that he had toe agree on one thing, his mother was beautiful. She was his mother after all so he couldn't really help but think of such a thing.
Though his actions stopped at his father's last words. It was almost as if InuYasha had been frozen in time. This was where the great dog demon had hit a weak spot on his son. Triggering something that InuYasha had never really wanted to ever remember himself. His mind ran wild, images filling his head as he thought. His eyes carried a lost look to them, his ears pinning back and his bangs reaching down to shadow his eyes afterwords. He knew that feeling all to well, and that love was what had led him into so much trouble.
He'd felt that feeling before and knew it all to well. It had only been about fifty years ago or so, long before his mother had died. He'd heard of this jewel, the Shikon no Tama... the "Jewel of Four Souls." He'd gone looking for it for the power and that was when he had run into Kikyou. Over the time that he had known her, their relationship had grown into an undying love, that was timeless and boundless to the core. It was something that he had almost lost though thanks to that Naraku that ruined him.
Then fifty years later, around this time now, Kagome, Kikyou's reincarnation had come and found him after being pulled into the Bone Eater's Well. Kagome had unsealed the curse laid upon him by Kikyou herself after she had died. At first, he had hated Kagome to. Then his father had left him the Tetsusaiga and Sesshoumaru had attempted to kill the human girl that he had learned to open up to. Somehow with the help of Tetsusaiga, she had lived and he gained his sword, taking on the honor. Now he was soul bound between two women, Kagome and Kikyou.
Kikyou and Kagome both alive, sharing the same soul and he could only really have one. Yet, he had no choice of picking one of them. Glancing back up at his father, the blood got to his head, and these feelings heightened his emotions. A fury was in his eye, his fangs bared. "Don't talk to me about love," he barked back at him, his words clearly showing his anger. InuYasha had always had a bad temper but sometimes it just got the best of him. "You don't even know anything about it!" To be totally honest though, he didn't even know if they knew about Kagome and Kikyou. He'd never told them but there could have been rumors.

Izayoi was suprised that her son had still been eager to see things in that way. But then, when her beloved started to speak, when she felt the warm touch of his fingers against her cheek...all seemed to be forgotten. To be quite honest, Izatoi even forgot the presence of her son for a moment. She was to lost in the depth of Inu no Taisho's golden eyes, and the sound of his words. The memories it provoked and happiness they had felt then. Back then everything seemed fine...and possible. Nothing stood in the way of the young lovers...not even their difference od race. To Izayoi he had been the most handsome being she had ever seen.
The slight brush of his lips against her own, caused color to blossom in her usualy ivory cheeks like a rose, blooming on purewhite snow. The world really was forgotten for the young hime. Until suddenly her motherly instinct kicked in and told her something was wrong. Her gaze towards her son told her that indeed she was right. he had that same look about him, he used to have as a little boy, when the children had refused to play with him and called him names. his eyes shaded by his bangs and his ears flattend against his silvery hair. Like a hurt little puppy.
The words that came from InuYasha's lips only confirmed her suspicions. he had been hurt...by a girl. He was confused about his feelings. Izayoi had not asked InuYasha yet about any woman in his life. She had only returned and hoped if there was something he would tell her...or perhaps his father. But so far nothing. For a while she had believed he didn't find a special girl yet, he was still young after all. But now Izayoi realized that InuYasha kept his feelings bottled up and hidden, something he had no doubt learned well when fending for his own after her death.
With a very determind expression, Izayoi reached out and grapped a hold of InuYasha's wrist, and with suprising strength, pulled her son next to her, making him sit in the grass.
"Who is she and what happend, InuYasha?"
Though her question was asked with loving gentleness of a caring mother, it was also clear he would not get away without an explenation.
