Finally they had gotten away from that monk long enough to lose them. A smile was plastered on his flawless features as he came to a halt before the pond. The sun's radiant rays shone down upon him, his exposed skin taking in what it could of the heat to warm his body. These were the moments that he lived for. Though now, he had Kikyou with him again. This didn't have to me a moment that he could just turn around and forget, this was a time that he could be making new memories.
His golden gaze flashed back to the miko and he smiled at her, a true smile that had been lost for such a long time. He was glad, excited, and most of all at peace just to be in her presence one again, just he and Kikyou. These times to him were limited but lasted forever in his mind. So they best make the most of it. His ears twitched to the sound of something back in the water. It sounded like a splash. Turning quickly, on the defense, he was ready to grab Tetsusaiga but say it to only be a fish.
His ears went back in embarrassment and his face was tinted red with his new found stupidity before Kikyou. "Umm..." He wasn't sure what to say to make up for his actions and sat there in that dog like pose, sure that Kikyou could end up laughing at him.

Kikyo Leaving the monk in the dust was to put it simply, relieving. His child like antics were rather interuptive, and time with Inuyasha was her main priority. It had been a rather long time sense the two had been able to be alone, and she wasn't about to let it slip just like that.
As they came upon the river, the Miko stood and watched the sun dance across the water, casting glittering patterns across her pale flesh. If you could call it that anyways. Her brown eye's seemed to sparkle with a happiness that had long been deemed forgotten, as they stared softly at Inuyasha. It was times like these she missed the most, Neither had to speak but his gaze showed it all. Deep down she knew he missed her as much as she missed him, yet their love was one that was twisted. Thanks to Naraku there were still many things they had yet to figure out.
Though, these times were the one's that she would cherish long into the after life. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she slowly let her knee's buckle and she slid to a resting position upon the soft grass. Watching Inu as he took the defense, and stared back at her with a rather defeated gaze. A soft chuckle passed her lips, and she found it rather joyful to just be in his presence.
As the sun danced across the water, she felt it's warmth beaming upon her pale flesh. Her brown eye's remained on him "Come sit with me Inuyasha.." she spoke softly, nearly a whisper, but she knew he would be able to hear her.

His ears twitched slightly again, the short white tipped fur fighting against the wind. He'd heard Kikyou's laugh and it did nothing but increase his embarrassment that he had so hardly tried to avoid. To be honest, he wasn't that thrilled about it but all at the same time, her laugh bought life to his world again. He could recount how often she laughed when they both used to be together fifty years. It was such a joyous thing and yet all at the same time a tragedy they hand been torn apart by greed and jealousy.
His vision went black and flashed before him in just a moment when he blinked at her. Come sit beside her? He could do that even though he normally preferred the trees, or some place high. Maybe because it gave him a sense of protection to watch over those that he cared for and loved. It made him feel safer because he knew that he could stop an in coming attack before it came. He had a wider view of an area than he did if he was just on the ground, sitting there on the ground beside some one.
Getting up from his position, he finally went back over to Kikyou and took his reversed seat beside her. The feeling her got from being in her presence was heart warming. It ceased his blush and molded a fanged smile to her on his features. Yes, this truly was making memories without saying a word. Though being his stupid self, he went and broke the silence before even the wind had a chance to ruin it. "I'm sorry about Miroku back there," he said, his voice and his eyes expressing his honesty. He had only wanted to be with her.

It often made her wonder, what would've happened to them if Naraku never had become what he was today. As humans they would've been able to live a rather normal life, yet Inuyasha would be less able to protect her then he was now. Then there was that Naraku, If she'd never found him and cared for him, would he have been so hungry for her and the jewel?
A soft sigh escaped her lips as she gazed out across the water. It was a beautiful day, one she was glad to be spending with Inuyasha. No matter how silly he was, his company was what she neeeded most and most of all what she craved. If she would ever could be alive, being with Inuyasha was the closest she came. He made her breath choke, and her dead heart race. He was the only one she could ever love.
As he came and sat down beside her, she smiled again. Having him so close was comforting, rather then wondering where he was and if he was alright. Knowing he was with her instead of Kagome. How selfish was that? Hearing him speak, she turned to look at him, and once again a soft laugh filled the air. "It's alright, I'm just glad we got away... I can enjoy my time with you in peace." she stated with a warm smile, before returning her gaze back out to the water.

He listened to her carefully, taking in every word and trying to memorize it before it could escape his grasp. You never knew what the last words of someone you loved could be. It was a tragic feeling that filled his heart. Because inside he knew, that Kikyou could brought back from the dead unwillingly as a clay corpse mixed with some of her bones. That wasn't fair to him or her but she was here again now that she had forgiven him. He'd remembered her anger the first time she was revived from the dead, supposed to serve that witch.
"Kikyou," he said, his voice faint and unsure. The idea running through his head was crazy but there were two choices that he could make, two choices that could allow them to be together forever... alive. "If I could do it or if I told you a way that you could live again, would you agree to it?" His uncertainty rang throughout his voice like the bell upon a church. Chances were that Kikyou would say no. Though he wouldn't make any suggestion yet. One could end up with him risking his life, the other against Kikyou's very purpose.
He held back a sigh at the thought of it. It was all just a matter of what she had to say.

Lady Kikyo Sadly the miko's life had been taken away far to young, and brought back unwillingly back into this life. What would happen if she wouldn't have been revived, if you could call it that. Would Inuyasha be happy with Kagome? That's how it should be... Kikyo sighed a bit heavily. This body made of clay, ash and bones was no way to live. Yes she would love to live and be at Inuyasha's side day in and day out letting her love for him keep her alive, but she would never be fully alive.
Then the sweet voice of Inuyasha once again captivated her attention, and her eye's slowly fell upon his kind face. How hard it was to not reach out and just hold him in her arms, rest her head against his chest and listen to his heart pumping in his chest. When he spoke her name, she smiled softly "Yes Inuyasha?" Then he continued to speak, and her smile slowly faded as she stared at him. "Inu...Yasha you know that I must refuse. I shouldn't be alive now..." her head fell slightly, and her bangs shadowed her brown eye's. He should know, that more then anything she would do anything to be with him, yet she couldn't find the heart to say yes... or no. She simply sat there... staring at the ground between them. It was always something between them it seemed..

She had to refuse? She shouldn't have been alive? No. He wanted to believe that Kikyou really had been brought to life for him. So they would be together again, so they would finally fulfill their lives as they had once promised each other. Although, he had a twist to this plan, because now he wanted forever. He didn't want to die but wanted to forever hold her, forever protect her. Gently, he lifted a clawed hand and used to it raise her chin up. "Kikyou, look at me," he said. "Just hear me out, please, that's all."
He took a breath. Even though she had refused, his stubbornness told him to tell her his idea anyway. Though just the fact that he had an idea was scary in itself. Yet, what if he could combine them both? "If I can restore the Shikon no Tama... would you wish upon it, to be with me forever," he asked, trying his best not to make it sound like a slap in her face to her job. "My brother, Sesshoumaru, he has a sword too, called the Tenseiga. It can bring one-hundred people back to life in a single stroke."
That was his plan, to somehow get the Tenseiga from Sesshoumaru and use it to bring back Kikyou. Then she could use the Shikon no Tama to wish to live with him until the day he died at least. That would still be a long time even if he was a hanyou. Though that hanyou blood was also the human part that made him immortal and bound to die one day. He was afraid of when they day would come, but he didn't want to be alone. It was almost an act of greed but love all at the same time.

Lady Kikyo In the silence between them, her mind raced with the memories of their past. The immense pain she felt seeing her beloved hanging there on the tree. His face so peaceful and serene, How much it broke her heart to die alone and hating Inuyasha. If only she hadn't been so blind, maybe then she could've saved him so much pain and heartache.
Then a warm touch caught her attention, and her gaze slowly shifted back upon his golden eyes. Ah if only she was truly alive, this fake body and partial soul were all her's, yet it wasn't. Perhaps it would take him longer to realize it; she was dead. She died nearly 50 years ago, alone. Perhaps that's why she had been so angry, she was left to die alone with the very jewel that Killed her.
As he asked her to look at him, of course she did. Her brown eyes stared into his bright amber eye's, and as if fifty years ago she felt herself lost in love. His lips began to move, and she snapped out of it to listen. Hearing his question, she had to sit there for a moment and ponder upon it. Could she do that... yet she would have to remain in this fake body; Forever? Then he continued, and this was what really caught her attention, she slowly shook her head "Oh Inuyasha, you are so full of fantasies. There is so much that could go wrong, Naraku has the majority of the Shards. Wouldn't bringing me back to full life, effect Kagome? Sense inside her is the rest of my soul?" she asked, she knew it would probably anger him. Yet she could do nothing but face the facts; She wasn't real and Kagome would die with the rest of Kikyo's soul.
Kikyo wanted to cry out, and scream her frustrations to the world. Yet she couldn't, perhaps it was the fact that her tear ducts no longer poured salt from them, or the fact that she wouldn't allow herself to show that side of her. Naraku, that bloody bastard ruined it all. They would've had a wonderful life together, Forever until they could die together. Yet here they both were, struggling to come to reason. Kikyo moved closer to Inuyasha and buried her face deep into his clothing. Letting her senses fill with his warmth, and her ears ringing with the Thud of his Heart.
"I would spend forever with you; If you do not know this by now Inuyasha, I doubt you ever will." she said this, with a hint of laughter. Yet it was light. She felt herself breaking in two.. Torn by her love for Inuyasha and her Reasoning to the right thing.

Fantasies. Yes, that was all they really were. Something that could never be because, something always blocked it. It was just something that had his mind running around in circles, searching for an answer, for some way to make it all work. That was in all fact, the cold hard truth that had been thrown in his face so many times. Living on his own for so long, he had always had the chance to come up with these fantasies. He'd been smacked in the face so many times with the reality of the world, it was an escape.
Kagome. He in all truth had forgotten about Kagome when coming up with this great idea of his that he'd had. What would have happened to Kagome? Why couldn't that soul that Kikyou and Kagome shared have been split down the middle. That way, they could both have a part of it. That way, maybe he could have even had them both. Here it was again though, his fantasy. That illusion that he wanted to make a reality. Even if he did love Kikyou, it was true that he could never hurt Kagome in a way like that.
When she came closer to him, that silly blush of his ran across his face like a strike of lightning. He glanced back down at her, almost not to sure of what to say by her actions. It had just been to long since they had been together like this. So long since they could just be at peace with each other around. Yet, he wasn't sure if Kikyou felt the same way or even if he totally felt that way. There was always Kagome who could linger in the back of their minds at any given second now.
He wrapped his arms are in priestess, holding her in his loving and yet protective arms. He was never able to just turn down the chance to hold her. He wanted to just say that everything would be all right. Though false lies were something that would never be able to pass Kikyou. This he had learned from experience. She could easily read him like an open book. That was just one of the many great advantages that the miko had over him. It was almost sad in a way, but his father had also fallen for a human too.
His ears flickered once again to the sound of splashing water. He shifted his gaze away from the beautiful Kikyou to look back at the water. Fish still jumped at the surface, an in all honesty, his stomach fought against him. "Are you hungry," he asked her suddenly. that was before he had realized that maybe Kikyou didn't eat since she lived off souls. Though there was always the possibility that she did. Souls needed nutrients right? He hoped that he wasn't wrong because he didn't want to look stupid in front of her again like before.

Lady Kikyo
There would always be that lingering feeling that everything could be alright again. The hopes and dreams they once shared together were so close, yet as always life always found a way to keep them from making them come true. It was as if Fate doomed the lover's from the very first day they met. If only Kikyo had the heart to destroy the Jewel sooner, Maybe then she they wouldn't have ended up like they had. Yet, she couldn't change the past No one could. It was just something they both would have to face the facts on...
Kagome, What would've happened if she'd never come to their time? The Jewel wouldn't have been brought back, Inuyasha would still be slumbering and Kikyo would be dead. A heavy sigh passed through her lips as she gently closed her eyes. Perhaps Fate had yet another plan for Inuyasha, yet that Witch intervened when she brought Kikyo back. Kagome was here for Inuyasha, Kikyo shouldn't be here.
More then anything in the world, she loved Inuyasha. He was her world, everything in it revolved around him. Feeling his arms wrap around her, she smiled softly. It all felt right, sitting in his arms and just enjoying the little moments she was granted to spend with him. Listening to his heart beat, and the even rythm of his breathing was calming, and if only she could beilive everything would be alright.
Feeling Inuyasha move, she opened her eyes and chuckled when he spoke. Of course he would be hungry, "I suppose." she stated with a warm smile. She didn't often eat, if at all. Sense she lived off the Souls of Dead women, there was really no reason to eat. Yet she could if she pleased, It wouldn't hurt. It would give her more time to spend with Inuyasha after all.

InuYasha was rather pleased when Kikyou had agreed to something to eat. It didn't make him feel like the outcast there, and it was a great relief. He didn't want to look selfish though either in front of Kikyou just because he needed to eat. Sometimes, he worried to much what others had thought about him, at least those people that were close to him. It was one of those things where he always tried to make an impression, something to fit in. Being a hanyou, he really didn't fit into any group, not human or demon.
As he got up, he was careful not to disturb Kikyou's position that much. It felt horrible letting go of her, but he had a new job now. "Watch this," he said as he stood there, pointing at himself with his thumb facing his face. This was one of those times when his ego had gotten the better of him. It was almost as if he were just a red blur, making his way over to the river side. The easy way to get fish would just be to pull out Tetsusaiga and use the Kaze no Kizu but he wanted to have fun.
He listened carefully for the sound of anything about to break the surface of the water. He catch the sight of a slight ripple in the water and that second, fish had jumped up, and he had jumped, his arms reaching out in an attempt to catch it. The fish slipped out of his grasp in a fraction of a second. Gravity pulled him back down to Earth too, having him land straight into the water. A large splash was seen where InuYasha and the fish once were, the sound of the impact ringing through out the whole forest area.
The young inu hanyou resurfaced to the world as quickly as he had gone under. Now of course, he was soaking went. His face showed his fury and great annoyance as he bangs almost covered his eyes, the water holding them down. A growl erupted in his throat as he looked around for the fish. Now here in sight. How horrible. He looked around for a second until he thought about Kikyou, almost sure that she would have been laughing at his crazy attempt just now to catch a simple fish. If he couldn't do that what good was he for?
The last thing he would do though was ask her for help. That would just be straight out of the question, although it was rather tempting. He wondered what Kikyou would look like, trying to catch fish with him. Without the help of powers or even her bow an arrow. Maybe she would have looked as graceful and marvelous as she always did. Then there was always the chance that she, the great priestess Kikyou, would look just as stupid as he did right now. The ideas running through his head were endless as he continued to wonder.

The warm smile spread across her face, as her answer seemed to please him. If she could do nothing more in life, then to make him happy, it would be a good life. His smile was worth fighting 1000 demons, Even worth destroying the Shikon Jewel to spend her lifetime with him. She moved a bit when he got up, As much as she would rather stay there forever in his arms, she turned around so that she could watch him as he caught something to eat.
With a roll of her eyes and a soft laugh, she waved his ego off. Knowing very well how Inuyasha could get, especially when it came to showing off. No matter who was around, if he had an audience he never wanted to look weak. Though she understood quite well, being only half demon and human, he didn't fit in with the rest of any race. Sadly she pitied the Hanyau, If only she could've helped him in some way.
With a rather interested gleam in her eye she watched Inuyasha as he leapt after the fish. It slipped from his grip, and down he fell straight into the water. A bright smile crossed her features, and she pulled her hand up as she started to laugh, covering her mouth slightly. With his little ears poking out more clearly, and him staring all soping wet, she couldn't help but to giggle.
With grace, only she could have, she got to her feet and walked over to the edge of the water and knelt down. "Oh Inuyasha, Come out of the water..." she stated with a kind grin as she outstreched her hand to him. Indeed, could she catch a fish with only her bare hands? It would prove rather difficult in the long run... Now maybe with her arrow she could!

He felt like just going back under the water and hiding himself from the world when Kikyou had laughed at him. If he were human he may have not heard it but those little doggy ears of his picked up everything. He tried to glare at her from where he was, but he just couldn't steer that sort of hate towards Kikyou, well at least not anymore. He'd learned to forgive her for pinning him to the tree because their love conquered all. So he ended up just looked at the water in embarrassment, almost maybe blushing too.
Then the miko had hold him to get out of the water. His ears twitched slightly to her words. Mean while, his gaze followed her every move as she came back over to the edge of the water. As if! That was one of the last things that he was going to do. When he said he was going to do something, then he was sure to get that task done. InuYasha wasn't one to just turn around and quit on anything. He had a reputation to up hold in his mind and that was very much going against it!
A smirk crossed his lips when she had reached her hand out to his. He looked on for a moment, thinking, plotting something that he knew would get him in trouble with Kikyou but it would all be worth it. Worth it just to see the look on her face. He'd remembered something like this from when she had almost fallen off of that cliff after being brought back from the dead. Though Kikyou had attack him with her magic when he had grabbed her hand and gone on with something about her and Kagome. It was time to get her back for that now!
He grabbed her hand, as if to take her offer. His mischievous golden gaze met her brown orbs and that devilish grin was spread upon his features. "Lets see you try better," he said he as grabbed her hand with his other one as well, just as she had done to him. With that, the young inu hanyou attempted to pull priestess Kikyou into the water with him. He pushed his feet off from the bottom of the wet ground below him so he had a better chance of dragging her into the water with him. That was if she didn't do something to stop him.

Now, If the Miko had been smarter and thought out her actions better she wouldn't have reached out across the water to him. Yet, she hadn't thought of the possibilty of the current situation. Feeling his hand slip into her's, she smiled softly. It always felt so right when his warm skin touched her own. There was that magic little spark that always seemed to ignite in her eye's.
Then his golden eye's met hers, and for once she was a bit concerned with what was on his brain. Before she could react properly, his other hand took her's and she suddenly felt herself being pulled into the water. Her first reaction was to grab onto the soil with her other hand, but it was no use. She'd reacted to late.
Gravity took the rest and the Miko fell face first into the water. Though she quickly resurfaced, Her white ribbon had come loose, letting her hair fall out across the waters surface, riding the waves caused by her fall. Anger was the first in her eyes as she stared at Inuyasha, then slowly it faded into a smile and she chuckled once again.
With a flick of her slender wrist, she flung a bit of the water towards his face. How could she be angry? For now.. Just for this moment she was an oridinary woman. Every worry she'd been having about the Shikon Jewel, Naraku and kagome just seemed to drift away. She looked around in the water, Fish darted around them in every direction "There, try and catch one now!" she said with a warm smile. It would be a bit easier to try and just grab one... Yet she knew without her powers or bow she probably wouldn't be able to. Something she could of course admit!

These were the moments that he had always lived for. Those times that he didn't have to be so stuck up, stubborn, and serious. It was these times when he could just be himself, InuYasha. Human blood, demon blood fused together to make a hanyou didn't matter at these times. Sometimes you did just have to kick back and relax though, to just learn to enjoy yourself. That was something that he ever rarely did now because he hunted for shards of the Shikon no Tama. If not that, he was killing a demon here and there everyday.
When the miko splashed water in his face, that was when he finally found himself glaring at her.Though when she told him to try and catch a fish now, like a loyal dog, he obeyed. 99% of the time, he would always listen to Kikyou. It was only that 1% like when he had just pulled her into the water that he didn't. It was nice not having any. He glanced around, his golden gaze scanning the surface of the water again. His clawed hands dived back down into the water again to make another failed attempt at catching a fish.
"Come back here," he yelled at the top of his lungs as the fish escaped. He glanced back at Kikyou again, more determined than every to catch a fish now. He waited for a second, before he saw another fish and leaped back after it. This time, though, he changed his plan and actually used his claws when he went to grab it. He dug his claws into the body of the fish, sinking them in like fish hooks. "Hah!" He raised the fish back up in the air in victory, trying to show off to Kikyou again, proud of himself.
When he knew that the fish was dead, he released his claws from digging inside of it, and smiled, catching it in a normal grasp. He swam back over to Kikyou, fish in hand and threw it back up on the bank. He then got up in her face, barely less than an inch away. "Your turn, Kiks," he happily pointed out. He wanted to see her try but knowing his luck, she'd be able to catch it with ease compared to his clumsiness. It seemed like the world just turned on him like that, everyone able to do something better than he could.
